This has been asked three times on here. It is a Slade cue made out of colorado.

What cue fix is saying, Nyeborn, is use the search feature when ever you can.
Other than that, welcome aboard. Always glad to see a new face.
Your post couldn't have come at a more opportune time. Come this Friday we're going to have a symposium on how to best use the resources of AZB. It will held in the main cafeteria from 9 am to 5 pm. A catered lunch will be provided by the Subway shop from across the street.
Topics to be discussed include: Ten Myths About Aiming Systems, Inter-forum Dating, and The Narcissist's Approach To Better Pool.
I can't wait.

I think I've answered this like 5 times recently.

The cat is out of the bag. Everybody and their mother knows where that cue is. It is seriously already overpriced IMHO. But I guess it is worth whatever the highest bidder pays.

Oh...and the mark upside down. :D;)

Search the main forum....or the cuemaker forum....and a couple other threads....

Caught a break in my work schedule. Here ya go:

I understand the typical questions that get asked over and over could (possibly) be answered by a search.

Serious question, how would a "what cue makers mark is this" search answer the OP's question save for by pouring over thousands of threads, or by pure luck?

I think it's just fine to repeat questions as so many missed those the first time.

And sometimes some new info gets added so everyone goes home in a limo.

That being said how can you search for a picture like that?

Numerous ways. Google will search for similar images. And you can limit the search to AZB.

In addition, you can search the term Unidentified or Identify in the forum. You can also search the term Unknown. You can limit your search to the cue and case gallery, the main forum, or the cue makers forum. These are the places where most people ask for cue IDs. I wish they would keep it to one. I prefer the gallery as it makes the most sense to post cue pictures there.

Then, it also helps that somebody had the twin to this cue for sale here on AZB very recently. So just keeping up with AZB in general helps. :D

In the case of this cue, several people have posted asking about it. They have not posted the original image in hopes of not attracting attention to the sale of the cue. But I can assure you that those of us that habitually scour the internet for cues already knew about it. It's in one of the main places one would search. I have about ten places on the web that I habitually search for cues.

How to search for such a thing? There are people who do internet search for a living. There are many ways beyond what I posted. And there are other search engines besides Google.

Seems like it's a lot easier just to post the question here and get a specific answer to the specific question.

It's not the end of the world if someone asks a question that's been asked before, the servers won't crash either.
The internet won't stop and Al Gore will still go to sleep happy.

Keep the questions coming folks.....don't be shy.
That's what these forums are for anyway.

Anyone who doesn't want to answer or has seen the question before can simply move on to the next post....and not say anything......now there's a thought.

Why don't you crab ass goofballs just click "back" if you don't like seeing a question the 2nd or 3rd time?.

Internet police or nuttin' better do?...

Pretty much, as there are as many "How to make Milk Dud Tips", Threads as there are stars in the sky.

As many times as I have replied with an answer, I guess that I could have suggested a Search.

I dunno, maybe I just like typing.

It is fun to ask a question and get replies to it. That is what the Forums are for.

If a person doesn't like a question, like you said, it is much easier to click on another Thread.

The Archives are a great place for past questions and answers just the same as ya just never know what might pop up.

I think that it is quite difficult to show a picture to the Search Feature and get an answer, so the only way to do it is to post the picture.

Who is policing who here?

LOL! Pot...kettle...black....

I answered the question and gave a link.

I helps LOTS of people around here with such things and have a great reputation for it.

So....put the badge away. :D

Easier? OK.

But for some much more fun and challenging to research it.

Indeed....keep the questions coming!

Not sure why you commented as you did. I was in a great hurry when typing my response between clients so maybe my haste was interpreted as something else.

I answered the persons question about how to do such a search.

Something wrong with answering his question I guess?

Searching cue info is fun!

They have a search feature? NOW you tell me!

So is this cue for sale somewhere?

It's nothing special really and tonight somebody will bid it over 500...

I saw an early Gina cue in a palmer case sell for 270 bucks in an online auction search I ran a couple years back. I had missed it by a week.

There's a few gems out there, but you have to be quick and look where others don't. Goodwill isn't what I'd consider an undiscovered resource. I just picked up several nice cues, 3 Willie Hoppe cues, one a wartime ebony, and a nice Palmer. They were hiding in the wide open...

Yup.

There are still gems. Gotta look hard and be quick.

Goodwill is certainly far from undiscovered. But it is still a good place to check.

I was a customer on that cue in the 150-200 range. It went up so fast that I never entered a bid. I think the bidding on it has gotten a bit unreasonable to say the least. Somebody seems to want it badly though.

I did recently get a beautiful 1970 Adam cue on the Goodwill site for 80 bucks. Not cheap, but certainly worth a lot more. Had to pull the trigger on fuzzy pictures. I got it while everybody else went after a nice Palmer.

The problem with any online auction is there are shill bidders driving up the price. Then in the last 5 seconds you have to outbid the snipe bidders. You have 100 people looking at any one item.
