I see this (that pool professional players have better cue ball control than professional snooker players) said a lot on here and it always baffles me.
These people aren't british.

Yes....pool players have to park whitey on a dime, often.
Snooker players parking whitey on a manhole cover is often good enough.
Our old North American snooker champion, George Chenier, went to Merry Olde in 1951.
He became known as the master of position play.....had a 144 in the world championship..
....but his long distance potting was his weakness.
George was also the first player to run 150 and out in the world straight pool championship..
...in that game, his forte was known to be accuracy, but his cue ball control was considered
his weakness.
See the pattern here?
Because of modern communication, the difference is not as wide...
...but accuracy remains a major concern to snooker players...
...as does cue ball control to pool players.
I do see the pattern. It's commonly known as grasping at straws.
It's easy to say bullshit....you can say bullshit to one and equals two.
...but hardly a legitimate response.

Well,not all
I know a few Scottish who actually doesn't speak British at all.
At the same time there are few in Irish community who are hardly understandable:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

There's only one Ronny O'Sullivan, let's not pretend you all play with such control
I wouldn't pretend that for a second, but the level of cue ball control shown in your average professional snooker match dwarfs that shown in your average professional pool match.
It's hard to watch a pro snooker match without being blown away at some point by a positional shot - I can't say the same of pool, sadly.
Yes, because Earl, Johnny, Efren, SVB, et al, never come with a "shot" many, many times for some crazy position. How the heck to you win 9b US Opens and World Championships without bringing it ??
Who said they didn't?
The best pool players have unbelievably good positional skills. I'm not debating that. I just think that pro snooker players have better ones than their pool playing counterparts.
Actually, you did.
Where?
I said it's a common occurence in snooker - i.e. almost every match. It's not in pool.
Where?
The best ever at ENLISH billiards.....
...undisputed by anyone who is not blinded by patriotism....
....and Austalian named Walter Lindrum
Aussies are practically british.
