Why do lower level players make instructional videos for you tube????

I’m not trying to be a butt head first of all, and this is America, and anyone can do what they want. But why do lower level players make videos that seem to be instructional????? They don’t get many views, and they offer no real insight that cant be gotten from a real pros video??????

Sharvari is by no means some top player much less a pro. Many non pros actually teach subject matter much better and more clearly than a majority of pros, especially those with you guessed it a strong professional TEACHING Background. Remember pros are pool players first not teachers and instructors, being good at one doesn’t necessarily translate to the other.

It’s two diff skill sets.

But simply put many players struggle to come up then get helped and just enjoy trying to help others as best they can….that’s probably the simplest most applicable answer.

You teach a 3 something and when they are a 5 suddenly they are giving 3’s lessons. It’s common.

Yeah, but on a more positive note, maybe they’re just into it and want to make a video. People make videos about everything they do today, it’s free to post it, and they’re just having fun. Better pool than eating cinnamon or choking themselves into unconsciousness.

They want to help. Very few amateurs are trying to monetize their instructional content and they are under zero illusion that they are qualified to instruct at high levels. They feel the urge to share something and they do. They are also brave for opening themselves up to hateful comments and criticism should they get something wrong.

Some average players like Little Chris do a pretty good job with the videos they make adding multiple angles and graphics. Even though Chris' isn't a high level player he is a decent player and I believe that his videos are beneficial to pool.
