Why Is There Such Animosity On The Forum?

There is no flip flopping. Nowhere did I reference a 5 year old owning a gun, you gave an asinine example and I called you on it and followed you lead. You're the one losing the judo match. You want to fairy tale a story, sure I'll play along.

You make no sense. A moron could connect the dots and see the analogy in my posts and my point! The example is not asinine. It is a tool to Illustrate how wrong you are. Misleading readers about liberals.

Nothing referencing which party is in violation?

Just an opinion that the discussion is becoming heated despite no rule violation and the opinion that you should step in and kill the thread/conversation with the post you make.

People are not mind readers and we certainly do not like being spoken down to like children with the "time out" phrase thrown out to grown men and women. It just ain't right. You do stuff like that then you need to be able to justify the response.

My posts did not "name call" or violate any rules and I took the time to re-read them. So, I hope you understand the reason for my response and request for clarity as I want to know?

I do not mind being disciplined if I am wrong. But, in this case I have stayed with in the lines and behaved accordingly! Especially, given the nature of the "Debate" and topic discussed. Debates will get heated and some are won and lost. But, to swoop in when there is no known violations in such a vague manner leaves the community with questions unanswered.

There isn't so much animosity here as there is disagreement. Hell, we're pool players for crissakes. Pool players are highly narcismis..., narcick..., selfish individuals. Friction is inevitable.
I think Mr. Wilson gets fed up with the meaningless crap more than anything. :)

For the record, when I post a general warning and someone wants to make a case over it, yes, it generally pisses me off.

People can't take a hint and when I am sending you private messages as you asked and still want to cry in public, then there can be only one outcome.

I'm not inclined toward games and am perfectly content to remove people who wish to bait me.

Keep the political whining in NPR.

What more do I need to point at from there?

I haven't read all the responses, but....

When someone's response is disproportionate to the event,
or words said...... it is most always because their ego has
been challenged in some way. At least that's true in my
personal experience nearly every time, and when I see it
and squash my ego.... the problem almost always goes
away.

This is the 2nd consecutive thread I created which has resulted in lots of posts and also intercession by Mr. Wilson.

On the 1st post, Mr.Wilson warned about being civil in his post on the thread. It didn't matter......things got out of hand.......thread closed.

If this very thread isn't "Deja Vu" in action, then it has to be "Groundhog Day" in disguise......it's the same thing all over again.

Now the ridiculous part is what's actually happening since Thanksgiving Day only validates the level of truculence exhibited by some Azers.



I was sincere when I wrote reply #52 and I will give more thought to the opinion expressed in reply #63. I suspect I'm likely more closely linked with the bad behavior in these threads more so than either of the topics. After all, as the author of both threads, the coincidence does not go unnoticed. Just a cursory review of the replies attests to the fact I am not ever going to be elected Mayor of the Az Community if such an office existed......popularity is not my hallmark strength.......I get it.

So I'm falling on my sword and asking Mr. Wilson to close this thread......Each of us should just reflect on the fact that two (2) threads in a row "quickly got out of hand" and required intercession by Mr. Wilson. Folks, this is pretty sad & pathetic and if I am the underlying reason for this what's happening, either by choice or topics or just being these threads' author, then pummel me with your PM messages.......bring it on.......I'm not looking for a quarrel but if none of us are willing to even attempt change. to listen to the other person, then aren't we becoming the equivalent of our legislators in Washington, DC on the Forum.......haven't we yet learned nothing good will come from it but a lot of ill feelings will get formed.

In the interim, while this thread is still here.....Come On.....It really does need to get toned down......I'm willing to attempt it. Do your have the gumption, interest or desire to join me? I can't be much more forthright. My personal contact info is below in case you ever are inclined to vent about something I've done. Meanwhile, please let's do keep things civil on the Forum. Threads like this shouldn't be closed or deleted. They serve as a record of what is tolerated and what is not. Additional posting MIGHT get people to thinking about what they should and shouldn't say.

You surely aren't the problem and this thread is a great one.

Add in a reply about how your aiming system was working PERFECTLY and all hell is bound to break loose.
