Why only 47 players at Valley Forge?

It said $ 20,000 guaranteed IF 64 players, so doubt it is still 20...

Some great matches coming up today:

Most likely Mika Immonen will play Dennis Hatch in the second round on the loserside, if they both win their matches in first round. (Shaun Wilkie and Adam Smith)

Thorsten Hohmann and Jose Parica will play first round on the loserside.

On the winnersside Marcus Chamat will try his luck against Shane Van Boening. Watch out for the little Napoleon!

Youngster (17-year old) Dominic Jentsch from Germany will give Mike Davis a figth, while Shawn Putnam and John Schmidt is at it.

Ralf Souquet won 10-0 against Joe Tucker and will now face Gabe Owen, who just beat Tony Crosby.

That's the most interesting matches coming up, imo.

Okay. Here's my tout sheet! :p

Mika over Dennis. This is a grudge match from Turning Stone a few weeks ago.

Adam Smith over Shaun Wilkie. Adam flies under the radar, and he's a fierce tournament competitor.

Thorsten over Jose Parica, though if I were there, I'd be pulling for Jose Parcia. I always pull for the old-school campaigners.

Shane Van Boening over Marcus Chamat. I love Marcus, but I think Shane's 10-ball game is stronger.

And there you have it. YOU heard it from me first. If anybody wins with these tips, I accept all jelly rolls! :smile2:

I am sure Keith woulda used it equally goodly...

Hey, it would have been MINE, not Keith's. He was only interested in the cheese, unlike me and Shannon. He couldn't get over how me and Shannon were gushing over a "tin cup." :scratchhead:

BTW, your buddy Mark Painter is in the house. :outtahere:

I was disappointed in the turn out as well. I can only go one day and there were only three matches at each time slot. granted some of them were very good (Archer/Deuel), but disappointing nonetheless.

I saw McCready last night. He's in D.C., and he said he won't be going to Valley Forge this year. :grin-square:

This year, it seems that Jeanette Lee is the one to watch. The one thing I like about Jeanette is that she is not just another pretty face in the crowd. She can really play. I wish I could have sweated a few of her matches when she was in action with the Puerto Rican player.

I had heard she was playing someone wed night or thurs @5am-ish actually. Rumor was it started at like 5 grand and escalated to 10. Anyone know if there's truth to that? That's what I get for turning in early.
