The cost of running a nice room compared to what the average customer is willing spend while there is way out of balance.Vegas has promotions and customer service out the yeng yang,and they are pumping mud right now.

I have a local (Phoenix) and National billiards column online. I usually write articles promoting tournaments and small exposes of pool halls all around the country.

Sadly, many of the pool halls holding these tournaments dont have a website or web presence. Since the internet is the link to the younger generation, why someone cant pay $15.00 a year for a website and get free hosting x10hosting.com is beyond me.

How much FREE advertising can you get by building an inexpensive website?

Secondly, I have offered, even on this board, to write free articles and promotions for pool halls and businesses.

Last time I checked my inbox, not too many people accepted the offer.

Billiard owners are a part of the problem. Their understanding of marketing is based on old paradigm methods, and they limit the range of research to finding new ways to attract customers.
