Why there aren't many people talking about Falcon Cues??

Well, I wouldn't call myself a Falcon expert, but I've sold a lot of them, and played with a lot of them.

They switched to the new logo (no triangle, no bird) in or around 2006 or 2007. The E, C and M series were the first, if I remember right, to feature the new logo.

Thanks Shawn.

I think the oddball shafts were made in Florida. They made an 8 piece and a 12 piece shaft when they first started out. There are most likely a bunch of the 10 piece shafts that were made in Florida as well. When Falcon started making all of the standard Predator line butts, they were contracted to assemble the shafts as well.

Hi Shawn, may I ask your opinion if the new Falcon is still worth to buy in terms of the playability and quality? Thanks!

Didn't JR Calvert (Publisher of Inside Pool magazine in recent years) used to be a player rep/salesman for Falcon Cues at pro tournaments?

They're still made with the same wood, machines and materials as they were before. They are just made in the plant in Taiwan instead of Canada. Same quality - great cues. There is local support - Don Broos in Ontario is the authorized repair facility for Canada.

Let's revive an old thread!

I have a Falcon BS7 that I enjoy playing with. I picked it up with a Joss butt for c h e a p... Rolls straight together and separate. It's my main player for now...

I've owned and played with a Falcon cue since 1995. It was from the Nick Varner line of cues that Falcon made in th early 1990's. I love the way it plays.

I bought a plain Falcon in Saskatoon in 1994, and it was my main player for about 8 years. Picked up a 4 pointer, a WS3, in 2002 in Calgary. Both cues are great, and no plans to get rid of them. I haven't tried the overseas offerings.

JR was the US distributor. I bought well over 200+ cues from him 96-2003 and never had one single complaint or return. I played with a high end custom Falcon for 4-5 years, IMO, from late 90's to the early 2000's they made the best production cue....

I'm almost certain they're back up and running in the Toronto area. Milton or mississiaga.

I have wondered about the status of Falcon cues since the Falcon banner ads here on AZB are describing themselves as Canadian. And I knew that Falcon had moved out of Canada several years ago.

I have had a nice canadian Falcon cue for several years that was a limited edition of Rosewood and lots of bone ivory. Its a beautiful well made cue, and I always considered the Canada Falcon cues to be one of the finest production cues values when I sold them years ago.

It would be nice to know that Falcon had moved back to Canada and was producing their cues at the same quality as before.

I still have my Falcon JB which I bought in the middle of the 90s. I retired it after an honorable 15 years of service. What is amazing that despite taking a decade and a half's worth of beating and heavy use, the shaft is totally dingless and smooth as silk and the cue is a straight as an arrow. True quality wood there!
