1 LARRY NEVEL (How can you for get this guy top notch pro player)
2 Dave cole JR.
3 John Brandon (rebel)
4 jermy Ross
5 jamie weltch
6 jeff carter(pro player)
6. awsome players all from the carom room in beloit
7 Randy Lamar
8 Wille munson( but getting old)
There a lot more big master players out of WI those just a few off the top of my head..
therooko said:Beloit is in WI, so david Coles Jr. counts. Nevel is by far the best now. I did not know craig was that good. I know that we are forgetting Marcus Aleman, a texas import from Duluth. Who is the best one hole player in WI? Also I forgot Carter for I know him only from Chicago. If anyone can get ahold of Jeremy West, he may have some input also. More later, and sorry I don't know everyone down south from the Pour House team era. I know that they are great also.
therooko said:Agreed, but is beloit in WI or IL? Just curious. Also, where is Nevel now. I don't place a few of these players in that category that were listed, but that may be because my standards are a little higher. Lamar is always a favorite, and I know that Jon Fields is great also, and may be better than Lamar if he is playing all the time, for Lamar is a working mans pool player. As for all time greats, I would have to say Gene Albrecht on a bar box especially, and maybe on a nine footer even. Gene and Nevel would have been a great match to watch. Nevel is unreal, with so much stroke, but gene was no slouch and had the heart of a champion. A former backer of genes said that Gene always believed he could win no matter who he played. I watched him play many a road player, and after a few days the road player got more than they bargained for. To bad Gene quit playing pool. Oh well.

Jaime garvey plays pretty sporty. george pawlauski(sp?) from milwaukee. george brunt also from milwaukee. mark wilson lived in wi for a while. to let everybody know there is a tourney at BO DUDLEY'S in oshkosh sept. 15-16-17 long race on bar tables 1000.00 added (great tourney)hope to see ya there!

I thought he just this last year bought a room in Beloit! Boy, if this is true that man can't put down roots anywhere!despotic931 said:Nevel just relocated to South Carolina, but born and bread in WI![]()
