Willie Hoppe Brunswick Professional Cue

Here is an early, signed Wille Hoppe cue. The label is said to be unique. It is come apart at the joint, but the butt is in very good condition. The Willie Hoppe signature can be felt in the wood.

Certainly not unique...tons of Hoppe cues with that label...plus those labels are available for purchase as reproductions now. As for condition, I'd call it fair, at best. There are more people here "in the know" about these cues than me, but I'd estimate the value at $200 as is.

Think $200 tops IMHO. Just don't see any reason it is other than a potential conversion. Doesn't stand on its own. Not trying to be disparaging just honest.

These cues have issues with swollen black plastic joint collars and brass collars coming loose. Just due to the material and adhesives used that didn't stand the test of time. Forearms often warp at the top of the wrap. It's a 200 dollar cue as others have stated. It can be restored, left as is or converted. It looks to be a basic rosewood, they made a few hundred thousand like it.

I'd say that cue has possibilities, but only after it has a Master's Touch.

Thanks for the input. I held a straight edge along the butt and it doesn't appear to be warped anywhere. The black plastic rings are indeed swelled a bit, just like the Hoppe I found a couple years ago.
