Other than SVB, who gets "PAID"? Isn't basically just payment by cues?

Like the days of the pilgrims,,,, I will gladly pocket balls if you are to offer me a smooth piece of wood specifically designed to meet these demanding needs. I will also include 2 chickens and cow for some chalk. God by you!
 
For the most part, whatever cue they are given, they get use to real quick and play as well as always

One exception-GYK- when she had a sponsor cue, she couldnt make a ball. As soon as that deal was over and she went back to her Southwest, she started winning again.
 
Most of the top Taiwanese players play with Southwests. Most of the top Japanese players play with Mezz (or Exceed), Adam (or Musashi), Predator, or Keith Andy.

The local pro around my parts went through cues like I went through wives.
Mostly, however, they were the ones he could get for free. :smile:


P.S. Now that I think on it, there was a discussion about this several years back and the consensus was that more Pros played with a Schon, than any other cue.

lol, it's the cue of the manufacturer that pays them the most... cuetec, Mezz, etc... it's all about the benjamins, if you think any pro that is getting offered money to play with a cue is still playing with a cue because they think it plays better, you're deluding yourself.

A better question would be, what were the majority of pros playing with back in the day, when MEUCCI was offering the MEUCCI bonus at tournament stops. Where the money would go to an individual if they won the event playing with a MEUCCI cue, and roll over to the next tournament, if someone won who didn't play with a MEUCCI.
With the money building up accordingly.

I distinctly remember a couple of times where the "meucci money" rolled over to quite a little sum after a couple events where it wasn't won.

I often wonder what the pros would play with if some cue company offered a similar bonus, not with bonuses for wearing a patch on tv or streamed matches, but instead, the old school way, with a jackpot rolling over till it was snapped off.

The pool cue butt is important, but most importantly is the shaft.

Most top pros and elite players use Predator and OB shafts if not sponsored by a specific cue maker.
