WITTY POSTERS
I started a thread in the NPR section- Shortage of math teachers- seems to have taken off. Any witty posters out there that don't usually go to NPR? Need your input. The thread is turning out to be kinda fun.

I'm only allowed in the NPR forum half the time.

( what's THAT mean )

You won't be tempting me, mister pusherman. The instant I get into the NPR forum, I would double my wasted time at work, which means I'd somehow waste more time than I have on my time sheet.

hmm...

i read you post and something about it bothered me... i cant figure out what it was but something just didnt add up.

I'm too dum to be there

Neil,

Even at gunpoint, there is no way I'm getting involved in anything with math. That part of my brain never developed and I paid an aweful price in school when it was time for algebra. I'm in 12th grade and I have to be able to pass algebra 1 to get paroled. Well, let me tell you, it was terrible.

2x = 4 , x= what? Who cares! When did any of us EVER have to do that stuff at a gas station or WalMart? We don't need that here in America. It's there just to toughen us up for the real world, because you either pass and go onto life or fail and dry cars off at the other end of a car wash. In the winter months, you buld BigMacs and Whoppers.

So, no way am I going over there. Nope. Won't do it.

PS -I did learn how to spell arithmetic... A Rat In The House May Eat The Ice Cream. Take the first letter of each word in that sentence and wala!
ARITHMATIC!

PSS-It was edited so I could spell whoppers with 2 p's. I missed one of the p's first time thru.

I spend about 1/2 of my time trying to be witty. I guess that makes me a half-wit :o

Dave

Which is better, or worse: being a half-wit or a dimwit?

I'de rather him be obtuse than truculent any day. :)

Thanks ... I think ;) And half is better than dim, but I can be a bit of both according to my wife and kids.

Dave, who thought about being a stand up comic, but was worried that he could not convince people he was actually standing up :o

Well, I'm laughing. OK, I'm not laughing, but I'm smiling.
Well, I'm not really smiling, but I'm reading.
OK, OK, so I'm not reading, but I AM skimming through threads and I MAY smile or laugh at some point....
