Hello Forum,
A pretty Cue to see for a Friday Night "Quarantined' at home.. :sorry:

WJ's Pretty Barry Szamboti Cue. :)
Purple Heart with Magenta and Pink Salmon Veneers.
Burgundy Color Wrap. Peacocks.
And, WJ's Matching Pool Room/Table... :grin-square:

Since Gus Szamboti Chains have 6 links..
I made a six point with the six Peacocks.
I thought it would look more "Spectacular".

Shaft Tops are my Double Ribbon "Tradition Continues" Commemorative
Design.
I used it once before, originally on Mickey Carroll's Barry Szamboti Cue.

This top took 2 hours of CNC time to do.
Has about 17 g-code files that make up all those items..
Takes hours to just draw out the layout.
All drawn/done by hand with Trackball Mouse.
All done with tweaking lines and curves.
No Drag and drop/Copy and Paste, or, "Vectors". ( ?)
( No disrespect to anyone :smile: )..
I made all the single line fonts with lines and curves.
That is why they look a bit 'Funky".

The Slogan is Barry's.
He has that on his Business Cards. :)

Great Szam with great caps to match!
I'm always amazed at the amount of detail in the small area available.
 
CNC Engravings

Yes, I am amazed, too.
.008" and .012" endmills. Not "Engraving Bits".
I do not run my CNC at high feed rates.
No reason , as, I am not in production.
I can't afford to have bits snapping during the CNC Runs.
I am a hobby guy making Cue Caps.
My Spindle is a low cost and not as "Accurate" as the real Professional made Spindles.
My whole CNC Set-up cost about the same as the good CNC Spindles themselves.

No disrespect or trying to put down Cue Makers.
Just want to explain why I do the things I do.

K2 CNC put it on e-bay, and, I was fortunate to buy the CNC Mill for only $1200.00

I use an new PC and had to get the SMOOTH STEPPER to run the Mach 3 because the new PC's do not have the old style Printer Port.

So much I can tell you guys about all the little things that are needed to bring everything together to make these Cue Caps.
If I bought all the good Cue making machines, I would not waste time on Joint Protectors.
No money... Using $$$$$ of machines to make $ Joint Protectors.. :eek:
I believe this is the same reason for cuemakers. :smile:
Just imagine if they did make JP's.

Look at Richard Black Custom JP's for his Cues.
He's is my DADDY!!! :p

Since I'm here...
These are little inlays I made yesterday.
If they look familiar, you know who the Cue Maker is.

Will, you have this "Famous" inlay in your Spindler Cue.. :smile:
I figure you would recognize it as soon as you saw it.. :p
They are really small, and, I did not know the photo was out of focus.
Using a small End Mill Cutter to get the details machined for those small "Steps".
