That's the cheapest I've heard. BTW, usually they charge by the pound, after they treat it. So 21lbs now, may become 35lbs or more after treatment and that's what you'll be charged on, just a heads up incase you weren't aware of that. Good luck on your quest.
I am currently playing with doing my own with a vac chamber. Actually will be trying some this weekend with a spalted wood that I just cut up today.
I ran a test piece using minwax wood hardner on some maple burl and had some good results, so I'm hoping tommorrow will be even better using a polymer mixture.

Dave: Pls let me know how it turns out as I am interested in experimenting
with this also. Bob
I will report back when I have some results. When I do, I'll post a new thread so as not too hijack this one. I have been sick for a few days and didn't get as far today as planned. I tried dissolving the Acryloid (Paraloid) B72 in denatured alcohol, but it doesn't seem strong enough to melt all of it. Will try acetone tomorrow, had to go buy some. They say it can be dissolve with acetone, and ketone also, both of which are highly flamibleGood thing to do outdoors tomorrow.
