World 10-ball

Quarter final looks likely to have the top 4 (Filler, Gorst, SVB, FSR) players in the world by Fargo rating, and 5 of the top 8 (Kaci at 8).

Quarterfinal matches:

FSR (832) vs. Yapp (820)
Gorst (834) vs. Grabe (794)
Ko (816) vs. Filler (839)
SVB (833) vs. Kaci (824)

There's a chance that the top four Fargorate players in the world will be in the semifinals.

Does anyone other than Gorst get up to get balls out of the pocket when they lose the rack?

What a final 8! All studs!
What a difference a year makes! Last year, it was Szewczyk vs Tevez in the final of this event. Some great stories are waiting to happen this year.

1) FSR might complete the triple crown and hold the World 8 ball, 9ball and 10-ball titles simultaneously.

2) Gorst might become one of the few that has ever won both the World 9-ball and the World 10ball, and at age 22, will have won a major in each of 9-ball, 10ball, bank pool and one pocket.

3) Filler and SVB both have a chance to complete the double of the World 9-ball and the World 10-ball in a career. Filler could join Appleton as the only other player to win gold at the World Games, gold at the World 9-ball and gold at the World 10ball in a career.

4) Either Kaci or Ko Ping Chung could become the only player to ever win two sanctioned World 10-ball titles.

Good luck to all of these fine players. History is in the making.

Several do it, but I think it's a bad look for pro pool. To me, it's the equivalent of bowlers resetting their own pins.
