LB game running now

this link is for those who cannot go to the tournament to watch but desperate and searching for news on AZ :D

just like me, hope I am living in US, a lot of ball rollings... gota love it.

Craig and Danny are still playing tuff, nice jobs!!

It sounds like it was a tough loss for Craig vs Danny, hopefully he can continue his run against the young hotshot Nico Wehner!

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jasmin did it!! After loosing of Wiiliams she fought herself back and is now in the last 16!!!

OK its 3am but I made it!!!!

I might as well type a little from what I remember while waiting for the draw to be posted for tomorrow. Firstly want to say thanks for all the kidn words, been reading them but hadn't really had time to post given the schedule.

My match against Danny was a grinding affair, not many high runs but it went right to the wire. I had a couple of chances only needing a few balls but failed to get on the break ball properly the first time so played safe, the second chance I missed a cut after running out of line, rushed it a bit.

My match with Harriman still sticks out, I was well in front and Danny came bacl to go ahead something like 90+ to 70 or something. I managed to get into the 90's with so really close safety battles. The match lasted probably about 3 hours and the last 30 mins where pretty nail biting. I think Danny (yes Danny!) missed a bank narrowly, hitting both jaws of the middle. A little later he refused one letting me back in after playing safe. The thing that cost me was when I simply had to leave the cue ball in the rack from a ball on the side rail with an easy side pocket break ball. I left the cue ball about an inch short otherwise I'd probably have been out. Danny had his chances too though and he was a gent to play against, I hope he foes well.

Danny B was also loads of fun to play despite the loss and young Wehner is a great sport, he actually called a foul on himself early on in our last match, Only 15 but sure plays great.

I was about 60 balls behind and it was pretty late so I thought I was gone, managed to string a few racks to get back into it and suprised myself to play really well in the last few racks and fall over the line!
I had to make a few banks and other tough shots but it must have been my night as they all went in somehow.

I can't go without thanking SJM for his 30 mins safety coaching session in ABC last Monday. I hardly new the rules and just wouldn't have known what shots to play without his help. HE didn't have much time but the shots he showed have helped many times in all of my matches the last few days, thanks mate.

Congrats on your fine showing against some great players. Keep it up.

Go Craig !!!

Some interesting match-ups at the L16:

Hohmann vs Schmidt (could be just a few innings)
Immonen vs Souquet (both are strong and Mika plays great 14.1 too)

My picks for the title: Hohmann (best cueball control I've seen), Engert (never misses) and Mika (he's a shotmaking machine). I also pick Schmidt if he manages to squek past Hohmann. Ouschan vs. Felder should be interesting...

Go Mika !!!

Craig, go get 'em! You are playing great; intense, focused, and consistent. All the ingredients necessary to go far in a tournament like this. All of AZ is pulling for you!

Good luck vs Mike Davis Craig, should be a great matchup. Hohmann vs Scmidt should make for one of the more impressive straight pool performances of recent times, both have ran in the 400's and play a jam up game of 14.1.

Hohman wins over Schmidt 200-64
Hohman ran a 174. :)

Looks like Harriman has a big lead over Williams. :D
Is that an all-time tournament record, considering not many tournaments had a 200 pt. race.
