World 9 Ball Fascinating Matches

The draw for the last 64 of the World 9 Ball is out and there promises to be a wealth of marquee matches in prospect.
Dennis Orcullo was beaten in this event Andrew (Hong) Kong who comes from HK. But now they have been thrown together and Dennis will be out for revenge.
There will be plenty of spectators watching Mika Immonen take on Tony The Tornado Drago.
Two former champions, Fomg Pang Chao and Francisco Bustamante face off. That should be interesting.
There are two Canadians still shooting but if they reach the next round then they clash. Tough for John Morra and Jason Klatt.
Another Last 32 stage game that will be Standing Room Only. The large contingent of Filipino supporters will cheering on their Young Gun Carlo Biado as he would face World 8 Ball Champ Chang Jung Lin.
But that crowd would be eclipsed if their Old Guns Bata Reyes and Django Bustamante should progress to the Quarter Finals where it will be Showdown Time for the Senior Citizens of pool. It is not that unlikely either. Busta won this title two years ago and Efren has only dropped three rack in the tournament so far.
Bring it on!

My tip - Chang Jung Lin to do the double
Dark Horse - Nick Ekonomopoulos from Greece. It would be A Tragedy if he doesn't win it.

I know Ralf's back is still not 100%. He is getting 2 treatments a week but Ginky won his 2 biggest events in real pain. Ill take Ralf, Daz or Busty. Best i can do at this point. Ko Will be there at the end also.

Whats always amazing about Efren, the more $$$$$$$$$ he can win, the better he seems to play.

Personally I think one of the Taiwanese players will take the title. Maybe Yang.

Yes, he did.
But hes still young anf improving. Victory over Feijen was good result anyway :cool:

There are still lots of great Filipino players in there. Look out for Carlo Biado and Mazon as a couple of dark horses. Orcullo, Corteza, Bustamante, Alcano, Gomez and Efren will be hard to beat. I think CS Yang is not as strong as before based on his last performance in the US.
