If each country is represented by only two players except the host country how are the participants chosen? Seems like a huge burden for only two people to have on their shoulders representing their entire nation.
They're chosen based on their performance throughout the year, just like the Mosconi Cup. The players aren't chosen at random. It's a huge burden yes but there what makes things even more dramatic. A lot of Americans were disappointed that team USA lost to Qatar this year in their first round. Just goes to show that the other counties are really stepping up their game and makes competition that much more difficult. If each country is represented by only two players except the host country how are the participants chosen? I never understood this but from you're saying, because whatever country is hosting the World Cup of Pool is benefited to having two teams? I never understood why there was an England A and England B in this year's World Cup of Pool. Seems kinda unfair if you ask me, host country or not. If you look at it this way, if Chinese Taipei lost, then England A would be facing England B and either way, the final winner of the 2015 World Cup of Pool would be England. Chinese Taipei performed astonishing this year and definitely deserved to win the World Cup of Pool.
