should be SVB and Earl, but, SVB and Rodney is more likely. It takes a SVB or Earl to recover from Rodney's hap hazard style which results in poor performance but lots of admiration because of a perceived lack of nervousness. Simply one of the most overrated US players ever...
Unless this will be on a bar box, which is most tourneys now a days, the I'd say SVB and Sky or Roberts...

how is Morris overrated? He won the us open 9 ball and 10 ball ( when it was on the 9 footers). Those are 2 major accomplishments

Rodney Morris speaks from the heart

Many years ago, in 1988, a man who later became like a Father to me, told me something that directed the course of my life. I had just graduated High School miraculously, and I was playing pool for about a year already, but it was summer, and since I didn't turn 18 until November 25th, I had to wait to go into the Air Force, which is what I wanted to do because my grandfather on my mothers side was an Air Force Pilot.......As I'm waiting around, I'm playing pool more and more, and making a ton of money, 50k in a week kinda money! I was quickly becoming the prodigy of Hawaii and everyone could see it. As the time was coming when I had to go to the Air Force, I was torn between this game that was making me a lot of money, or an unknown career. So I was asking for advice and trying to see what the older guys would tell me to do. The biggest thing that stuck with me, and the sentence that I'll never forget, was when my friend said, "It doesn't matter what you choose to do in life, as long as you enjoy it, and do it well." Those were the words that made me make the decision to be a pool player. It was what I thoroughly enjoyed immensely, and I'm pretty sure I've been doing it quite well lol........Granted, he never told me I was destined to only be a thousandaire playing pool, or I might've thought differently haha. But I honestly have no regrets in my choice. I'm reflecting upon this as I'm getting ready to step away from the game and change careers after this year. Not for any reason other than, it's just time to move on to something different. I don't have the buzz I had for it like I did twenty years ago. I can't win a match or a tournament and make myself any bigger or happier because of it. Now it's time to challenge myself in another field and go for Hall of Fame there too lol. Oh, and stack up cash like Pablo Escobar did, only legally and with less victims lol

Should be Bergman and SVB.

No, it would work out better if it was Bergman and Woodward. SVB's team/doubles history is a mirror image of Tiger Woods; he just doesn't perform to the same level as when playing solo. This is no knock on SVB, but the population of results cannot be ignored regarding his performance in this type of format.

Golf and pool have so much in common, and alpha dogs in both sports seem to have mirror results when playing on teams or having a partner.

I think Justin and Sky have a great track record playing as partners in Mosconi Cup and action matches they are undefeated as far as i know, they play great as team work very well together

I say give the young guns a chance

But i really don't think Matchroom will turn down SVB's star power it's a televised event and they are about the ratings :frown:

I think I would rather see Sky and Berg take a shot at it this year. How awesome would it be if we had Team A & B with Sky/Berg and SVB/Earl??

I like Rodney, but I do not want to see him in the world cup.

I think they're a good fit also. Sky is always at a tournament or in action, so is always in stroke. He doesn't seem to rattle. Johnnyt
