World Games pool in Birmingham

Does the WPA have a phobia of endorsing a promotion team for the greatest billiard players from around the world?
In fairness, WCBS (as the main body) is covering the World Games at their website, which itself is pretty fancy, though might be slow at times. (By 'covering' I mean they have all the links to events, players, etc. Maybe they will even post some news, unfortunately seems only after the WG finish)

It seems like the WCBS has no idea how people watch or follow billiards and it didn't occur to them that anyone would want to see the actual matches. Almost like it's 1930 and sports are either in person or a box score in the morning paper.

In all fairness the billiard industry volunteer presidents may still think the internet is websites not real time social media. Ive had some older supervisors and they still dont know how to use a computer scanner.

The billiard community does not have press platform.

Emily Frazer and Molina Mike and Mike Panozzo are the most visible when it comes to billiard promotions of major events. Bob Jewett is more active on forums than the WCBS releasing promo material.

If the WCBS needs volunteers there are so many to find. The problem is their failure to endorse long term fans and in person supporters.

SJM could do a better write up of gameplay and tournament structure than any WCBS staff member. Who are the WCBS staff anyway?

Is there really a WCBS staff or are "they" a shadowy institution pulling secret strings? In todays world it means enforcing a ban on Fedor and neglecting the status of Ruslan. WCBS feels like a warden not a sports community organization.

Honestly anyone can reach most pool enthusiasts by (1) posting in the Pool is Not Dead FB group, (2) posting in the Matchroom Pool Forum FB group, (3) posting a thread in AZB, and (4) giving some details to Mike Panozzo for potential publication in Billiards Digest.

They could have drawn attention to their FB page and website. They did a lot of hype posts and live posting of results that nobody saw. But they could have put some key info and resource links in front of players put the gate: schedule, stream details, live score, bracket, etc.

... Zanetti lost. BTW
40-23 in 15 innings. Good game by Funaki:

The carom games are the only matches with a shot clock. 40 seconds with some number of extensions per match.
