The Higgins vs. Williams final has got to be the best match at the World Championships since 2002. You've got to give credit to John Higgins though. From being 14-7 down he managed to claw all the way up to 15-15. If that is not a testament to Higgins' mental fortitude, then I don't know what is.
For me the biggest take-away from this whole tournament, and in fact from the whole season, is that despite all the hype surrounding young Chinese and other international players bursting into the scene, it is still the veterans winning tournaments. Mark Williams, John Higgins and Ronnie O'Sullivan have got to be the best overall cueists in the world today. What a time to be alive
