**World Straight Pool Championships**

What a great event it was ! 100 ball runs. Ortmans 150 ball run on dvd with player review. And the great finals where Stephan Cohen makes a miraculous comeback from being down over a 100 balls. All on Accustats dvd's.:clapping:

World class event and the title deserves the world champion status !:bow-down:

I mean heck even Grady was there.:)
 
I think I watched some of it last year, a little fuzzy on details but I'll definately watch some more this year.

So far as I know, this was not a criterion. I believe it all came down to added money.
 
So is it WPA Sanctioned or not? Last year i think the sanctioning was pulled right around the start of it so I think that helped with the entries staying in.

This year if no sanctioning things may be different or maybe not. Straight Pool players are wanting a tournament badly.
