I just got a cold, but will go later again to Florian to shoot new pictures.

I will be going there armed with some cameras. Arriving Thu 4....just have not found a place to crash yet....
Was actually hoping to get a table at the Billiard Expo to sell the Magic Ball Racks there as well, but it came on too short notice....

Would be funny to meet up with whoever AZ-people are there.

Have you tried the Expotel Hannover? It is about 5-10 minutes walk from the site and I think they may have a few rooms remaining.

Unreal-They effed with the DCC no Europeans and then dont even come through with a tournament?

Edit-just heard from good source it is NOT cancelled.

Sometimes I am thinking nobody is checking my photos or videos, b/c the people talking about the event is canceled.
Everybody who thinks so, for sure haven't seen them.

When you still think after that it will not happen, something must be wrong with you guys.

I am also a player and I love this sport therefore it's hard for me to understand why people are talking bad things about the biggest event in 2010.

We all should try to push this event as much as possible to make our sport more popular. We don't get much chances like that.

Just think about it!

i totaly agree with you that it is one of the biggest events in 2010 and we should all do our best to push it,
but again i can only say that i think the EPBF and WPB have done a big mistake in scheduling that event. :(

The Derby City Classic officialy runs until SUNDAY, and the WTC starts on FRIDAY or SATURDAY.
Sorry, but that´s ridicolous :eek::eek:
I saw the time schedule and don´t understand why they only play one round per day from next Thurdsday threw Sunday.
They could easily have started out the event on Monday and play it until Sunday, but they didn´t :confused:

Two rounds per day should be possible without any problems.
Playing only app. 3 hours in the evening - what i can say more about that !?

Maybe all the partners, especialy the hotels have to make there money and like always the tried to make it as long as possible.
That´s the European style of doing big tournaments, i think, and i am a European and think that way !!

Sorry, but if that shell be the biggest tournament each year starting now, then the organizers should maybe think about some changes. :grin:

The tournament starts with the exhibition here, so therefore this schedule.
Also DCC Players had the opportunity to start on Monday.

Here is not only the tournament, here is much more.

Maybe it looks a bit clearer now for you ;-)

I think the organizers thought about much more things then the most people are thinking of...
 
I see a lot of tables covered in plastic... that does't mean anything. It's like going on a date and telling people you are going to get lucky. Until she is in bed with her clothes off, you are just hoping!:thumbup:

Dear Markus,

you know that most of the professional players make there schedule at the start of a season or a year.
And if there are dates like the one from the WTC on all the homepages and they collide with dates from the DCC,..........

Then you have a problem !!

I know for sure that there would me many European Top Players in the US for the Derby if the dates would be a little different.
You know for sure, too, that if they would start the WTC officialy on Monday then that would be no problem.
They could have been used this first weekend for their German BL Matches and then start out.

Don´t forget TWO important things.

1. If a tournament is officialy scheduled with a start on SATURDAY for over half a year, then you think you have to be there on SATURDAY, you know.

2. If you come over from the States (Derby) you have to flight on FRIDAY afternoon to Chicago and then to Europe.
In that case you will arrive here on SATURDAY - and don´t forget things like JETLEG, too.

For me theses are tow big reasons why the europeans are not at the Derby, and maybe why some US guys are not realy happy !!
I don´t know for sure, but if the dates would be from Monday on........, hmm, would Efren or Busty be there, too.

But maybe the organizers will think about that better next year !?

To be honest, because of the political BS that was going on in the Philippine pool scene I don't think that Efren or Bustamente would have been there anyway. Shame about that.

Still, I cannot wait to be at the tournament next weekend.
