From Friday 3rd of September until Sunday 5th of September you will be able to follow LIVE the final matches of the Worldcup of Antwerp (Belgium) on our website. -- www.umb.org

This Worldcup, the last of the year 2004, will also determine which player will be the overall winner of the Worldcup 2004. Four players can still win the special prize offered by "Drukkerij Verheyen" and the Trophy offered by the UMB.

The present situation is as following:

- T. Blomdahl: 194 points
- F. Caudron: 180 points
- D. Sanchez: 176 points
- S. Sayginer: 172 points

The winner of the Worldcup of Antwerp will take 80 points, the runner-up: 54 points, 3rd & 4th: 38 points; 5th - 8th: 26 points; 9th - 16th: 16 points and 17th - 32nd: 8 points.

This means that if the winner of the Worldcup of Antwerp is one of the four players, he will also win the Worldcup 2004; if this should not be the case all other scenario's are possible !!!

Thanks, Bob, I'm defintiely going to check it out.

The points list you provide contains only three well-known players (Torbjorn Blomdahl, Fred Caudron, and Semih Sayginer), but Daniel Sanchez was the gold medalist in the three cushion event at the World Games in Akita in 2001. If all four play, it'll be some field!

The site did not make it explicit whether the online broadcast will be free or pay per view. Does anyone know? I recently missed the opportunity to see Blomdahl play at Carom Cafe, and I don't want any surprises. I'll make sure to tune in. Good stuff, Bob.

I think the minimum total prizes for the top 32 is something like $35k for each World Cup event. I believe the seeded players (about 20) get the hotel and some travel paid for, and do not pay an entry fee.
 
Has anyone been successful in picking up the live feed for this event? I've tried, but no success yet.
 
i had it but it was horrible quality. like 29,99$ webcam showed 4 tables no one was one em so i shut it down.

I got on today, but it would seem that their camera is a long way away from the table. The table looks small, the balls tiny. Sad to say, pretty unwatchable.

If anyone has success with the site, please post and let me know. thanks.
 
Im on right now and camtasia this ( camtasia is a program to record movements on your screen i will edit it and host it in a bit ) its not the great quality but its on right NOW
