Having an internal battle in my head..have a 24'x24' man cave ...also have a 9 foot goldcrown and a 7 foot brunswick ..can fill the space with both tables and have a small lounge area or just run the 9 and have a lot more usable space. What would you guys do?

I like the idea of having both a 7 and a 9 in the space just not sure it's overly necessary.

One table and make use of the additional space. Lounge area, TV, bar… Space is a much more valuable commodity in the long run…

I can almost guarantee that one of the tables will almost never be used.

The only exception that I would personally make, would be if one of the tables was for a completely different game. Say snooker or 3-C.

Funning aside, these are the answers.

I used to keep a Dynamo bar box setup as well as my current table. My thinking was that I would practice on it if I had a tournament coming up on a smaller table. Now it is stored away because it was never used.

Have you not owned/used both at the same time? It seems you are in best position to know whether it's useful or not to have two tables vs one table and some space.

For me, I own a 9' table but also would love to own a 7'. But, if that were to ever happen, I recognize that 6 months or a year later I might change my mind.

For you, luckily your decision is not set in stone especially since you already own both tables. I say put them both in there and see how it goes. If you find yourself wishing you had more space then let go of one of the tables (presumably letting go of the 7'). If you sell before giving it a trial run then you might always regret it and wonder, but if you give it a try first then you'll know for sure.

Thanks for all the current replies..I have not had the two tables in the same room as my shop is currently under construction..the 7 foot is in my living room and the 9 is set up at at a friend's place. I've spent a lot more time on the 7 than the 9 that said if I had to choose just one it would be the 9 all day everyday. I'm starting to think the extra room might be worth losing the 7 foot

Bring your 9' home, and bring your 7' to your friends. That way you don't upset your friend and can still go over to play on a 7' for practice when needed, or when you just want to hang out with friends.

Why would you ever play on the bb if you have a 9ft there. My friend had a bb and a 9ft side by side after about a year he sold the bb, said he might have played 5 games on it in the year he had it.

Howdy All;

In my dreams ... chucklin'

I've noticed in a few of Darren Appleton's videos that he has a BB or, as he's English would that be a PB
as in Pub Box(?) in the room with his 9 footer.
It's been noted that not ALL angles are the same on a BB as they are on the 9 footers. So if your local
Bar/Pub has a table or has Tourneys that you enjoy then having both is a good idea, IMO.

No bar, no pinball machines, no bowling alley. Just pool. This is Banger's, mister.

The only thing that goes on in my game room, is pool. If I had enough space, I wouldn't mind adding a bar box, or a billiard table. Of course, it's not that simple, because you not only need more space, you also need more lights for the tables. So I only have one 9' GC, and I'm pretty happy, with the status quo.

Sounds like you have the space for both tables, but do you want to give up using that space for activities other than pool? Only you can decide.

Good luck, and I think you will enjoy it, either way. :)

Maybe a big bar box tournament pops up and you want some extra practice on the 7 or vice versa?
