Would you go two tables or not??

Having an internal battle in my head..have a 24'x24' man cave ...also have a 9 foot goldcrown and a 7 foot brunswick ..can fill the space with both tables and have a small lounge area or just run the 9 and have a lot more usable space. What would you guys do?

I like the idea of having both a 7 and a 9 in the space just not sure it's overly necessary.

Replace one of them with a carom table.

I would absolutely do two. I love my 9 footer but my league is on 7's. I would set up the 7 footer to be spec'd the same as the league tables I play on. Best of both worlds imo.

Maybe a big bar box tournament pops up and you want some extra practice on the 7 or vice versa?
Every tournament around me is on a bb, but I’m barred from most of them anyway. I still play on a 9ft Diamond and even when I had access to a bb I still practiced on the 9ft.

I'd go for both, then when you have a pool party, winner on the 7 moves up to the 9. You can always get rid of the 7 later so I'd definitely see how I liked having both set up. I do agree than a carom table would be a great compliment to the 9 if you decide there is no use in having the 7.

I envy your situation. Here’s what I’d do...

Keep the 9 footer. In the space where the 7 footer would go place a drum set(I have 2 for some reason). That way, every time you try to find a little peace of mind and a place to rest at the end of the day, you’ll be bombarded with a reminder of life’s harsh reality... There is no peace.

I swear to Gosh, the only time those drums get used is when I’m shooting some stick. Brother, after listening to that GAWD-awful racket every time you shoot a money ball, you will be the most shark proof mother funker around.

I'd only do the 9'. The angles are the same between the two sizes and I don't have much problem adjusting to speed.

406...whereabouts in MT are you? I may or may not be in one of the 'b' cities.

I used to have a 7 foot dynamo upstairs in the "dining room" and a 5x10 pool table downstairs in the basement. The 7 foot table surprisingly got a lot of use for a few years because my young family was upstairs and really people rarely went downstairs other than me. I was playing a lot of league at the time. Eventually I sold the 7 foot table once my kids got older and the pool table was replaced by a snooker table. Now the bar box space is really a dining room. My kids work/study in the basement and I see them down there. My wife does not play pool so she rarely comes down. I no longer miss the bar box.

Either keep them both or else sell them and get a 10’ Brunswick - 75 to 100 yrs old.
The advantage to keeping them both is versatility of play vs. the hardest table setup.

When you have the space, go 10’ and maybe even keep the 7’. Playing on a 10’ will
make 9’ tables, which is championship level, seem so much easier, especially banks.

As far as needing a bar box to practice my home venue has around 15-20 bar tables in a mixture of diamonds and valleys. I could play for free all day if needed to acclimate but honestly it only takes a few minutes to get dialed in anyway. They have a weekly $5 tournament that attracts decent players that can get me ready as well by beating me until I get right.

You might be able to adjust so that both play similarly except that when constant ball physics meets differing areas and proportions, all bets are off.

Have 9' GC in my man cave (16'x20'). 8' bar box in the garage (for practice before pool league). Put the bar box on big castors (same height as the table legs), come along onto my trailer and shoot anywhere I want outside, etc.

Unlimited funds I'd go with the 9 foot and a Carom table. In your case I would go with just the 9 footer. It's easier to go down then up table wise. Plus you now have more space for other toys

If I had the room, I’d have two tables. No question.
