Would you pay $5 to watch ghost videos on vimeo

I'm tempted to start posting the videos that I make of people on vimeo...and using 100% of the proceeds to pay players. NO money would be taken towards equipment or profit. 100% to the player.

Those who've watched my content....

What do you want changed to make it worth it.

Been subscribed to your Youtube channel since the day that i saw your first ghost vids.

Thanks a ton for sharing them!

I believe the quality of your vids is great and that they are worth the $5. That being said, with everyone selling PPV's these days i sadly don't know how many products the limited quantity of paying viewers of pool can support :(

Thank you!

I hear you, and my intuition is that you're correct. I'm hoping that the one distinction I offer...which is that I'd use 100% of it (and undoubtedly PAY myself to do it)...may differentiate my product.

Guess we're all different. I have no interest in watching any rotation game against anyone for any amount of money, or free for that matter.

I'm a little confused. What are "ghost videos"? If it's just someone playing the 9 or 10-ball Ghost then I have no interest whatsoever. If it's something else, I may be willing to buy one from time to time (depending on what it is.)

Am just watching the free live stream of the Longoni Cup here:
http://www.popler.tv/popup.php?path=Ebillard&vid=&live=1

It's a good enough stream and its free! - the thing is I've been on it for the last 5 mins and there is no match going on...
This is an on-going situation with live streamers and their schedules - the world simply just moves too fast these days to not be showing what is meant to be shown, and then try to charge a fee for the privilege.

STILL no match start since typing this - I only have an hour, then it's back to work

LOL - players came out warmed up then stream went off. I guess its not free after all...
SIMPLY haven't got the time to spare for it...
And now I'm answering my own posts!

Yes.

Your video of Dennis O playing the ten ball ghost was very educational. One can learn many things from watching a professional think outside of the box.

Yes,

I would like to see someone play (beat) the 12 ball ghost on a diamond or other tough table.

Are you thinking $5 per video, or a subscription? If the former, my response wouldn't be no...but rather, hell no. Subscription...I highly doubt it...but would depend on how everything was done. Good luck.

I just started watching one video that ran an hour and 20 minutes. I fast forwarded a few times and then quit. It was really boring. I can't see anyone paying a second time and that is if you can even get them to pay and watch the first time.
I am sorry

If you could hook the player up to a mic so they can explain what they are doing and why during their runouts, their insight would be worth the $ and may make more people want to buy. Turns it into an instructional video

I personally wouldn't. There is so much free stuff on You Tube nowadays.

edited to add: I think your motives are highly commendable though!!

I agree with the others in that this sounds like a noble project. Finding the right price point is difficult, and with so many pool players eschewing practice in general, it's hard to get them to pay to watch someone else practice. :)

The idea of commentary is a good one, though it would require more time from the talent and certainly more work on the production end.

I don't think so. I'd like to help the players (and the streamers/video'ers) but I don't feel good about the family entertainment budget going to watch pool. As much as I love the game, watching it just isn't important enough to me.
