*WOW* Advertise On A Professional Pool Player

Maybe I should offer my Body on E-bay like the Girl did you got a Tatoo to advertise what was it... :(

Well ... Well

We all advertise in some way, like when we wear a Pool
shirt of our favorite Pool room. The gimmick seekers
will overtake us someday .... lol

You know what stuck in my mind when I read that whole
thing, pants size 36 x 32, I thought, boy, he needs to
drop a few pounds .... <smile>

Sure will be interesting to see if this works. Robb Saez (aka ROBB-N-HOOD?) is offering up space on himself to the highest bidder:

Looking for that casino that buys up weird advertising space perhaps?

I'll keep a watch on this one! I wonder what his other sponsors think of the idea...
That's a helluva idea. I could fit 50 sponsors on myself, lol. I could get all of the dog food companies, Kibbles-n-Bits, Puppy Chow, Wendy's, Oh, that just tastes like dog food, nevermind that one. And NO, I don't know what dog food tastes like but for the right price, I'd eat a bowl of it on air, in front of millions of spectators. Hell, it can't be any worse than the fast food I eat every day, right?

Way to go, Rob Saez! I think this is a wonderful idea and hope it works for him. :)

JAM

I think this is a great idea. Hopfully it will catch on and we will see more players on ebay for every big tournament selling space.

...wow

...would it be degrading to myself to say I dated this guy???

I have seen it all now

Were you dating him during the Predator open this past May in Jacksonville?

What if the winning bidder/advertiser is a penis-enhancing drug company, for example? Rob could be put in a rather sensitive situation if they sent some pants with their before and after pics attached... :o

...joking

I didn't mean degrading literally! I was joking...he's a good guy, and an excellent pool player.

I was dating him during the Predator Open...ring game winner!! It was beautiful!

Anyone know, what happend with the bid?

I'm sure his sponsers either thought of the idea, or helped coallate it online. LTLUniverse.com and/or Capones Billiards were probably his help...they are super super nice southern folks and the owner of Capones is probably the only Yankee I know that is a great person (LOL), and i'm sure they liked the idea!

I remember ...

when Doctors and Lawyers first started advertising
in the Yellow Pages, the professional world was taken
back by this show of 'unprofessionalism'. Now, pick up
the Yellow Pages and thumb through it for doctors and
lawyers. It is okay as long as it is done in 'good taste'.
As long as pro players maintain a sense of common sense
and good taste about it, I don't see anything wrong with it.

I saw that too, but assumed that it was a prior that had been cancelled. Given the feedback, I even further assumed that the $2.26 winner had given some sort of much-needed advice on the re-list. What an ASSumer I am!

taken from Saez's ebay listing:
"But as I grew older I realized that the gambling circuit was not the path that I wanted to pursue. I wanted to be better than that, so I pursued my career in pool, by entering professional pool tournaments. "

I guess when Saez was busting a buddy of mine for nearly a dime in Hollywood this year the path was a bit murky and he veered off for a bit....

It ain't like he is trying to quit smoking crack. He is trying to make it on the pro circuit. If there so happens to be someone that wants to donate to the Robb-N-Hood foundation, what should he say? No thanks? Right!

First of all, LOL

I don't think any professional pool player ever gets that gambling itch out of their system. The only difference is that it is the world beaters who can't get games anymore...they are too good. Robb is still up and rising, so when EVERYONE knows him like they know Johnny Archer, he probably will be out of that circuit for good!
