In my experiences in the past (2+ years or more), Dale would turn and taper shafts to your specification.....Though I did not use them with any regularity, they are good for resale purposes.jcommie said:I remember when I got a DP Ebay cue. It came with a "standard" taper instead of a pro taper like I requested, and I hit him up with a PM on ebay. 4 hours later, he gets back to be and tells me to ship the shaft back and he will send me a new one, even though I had already chalked and played with the shaft I had. However, I got used to the different taper and ended up telling him that it was fine, and gave him a positive review on ebay to reflect his cust. service.
He just released another one...only this ones green....if I didnt stop playing I wouldve gotten it just to try it out...

I've played with my $150 DP for about 260 hours, and broke with it about 20 or more. I like it so much I put my $350 Viking on the shelve and only use the DP as a player. And I used a Viking since the late 1960's. It sounds the same as the day I hit the first ball with it. I must have got lucky and got a good one. Johnnyt
I shot with a purpleheart DP about 2 years ago, for about 6 months or so. It played great, never a problem. When I decided that I wanted a predator z shaft for it, I made the mistake of emailing Dale, and asking him the thread size...I know, I know, not the smartest thing, but the answer that I got was very rude, and he never did give me the joint size. I sold that cue as quick as possible.
