WPA Rules For Transgenders

His point was not to point out her lofty view of herself. His point was to imply that she is the person who would be so ridiculous as to change her gender only in order to compete in pool tournaments. There is a huge difference between the two. I am not the type who is always offended, only when things are truly offensive in nature.

You mentioned Rhea's "plight" earlier, sounds like you are calling it a sickness/disease, something that is unfortunate. Sounds like you have the issue with it, why on earth would anybody be so uncaring as to say that?
This is what is truly offensive

You obviously have your opinion on the sublet so why is watchez not allowed his, whatever it may be??? Too many drama Queens lol.

He is entitled to his opinion. I am also entitled to have an opinion of his opinion. If you try to sneak something highly offensive in nature in a conversation, disguised as a joke, you should at the very least expect to be called on it. I never told him to change his mind, but he certainly had no need to add that to what was a conversation about rules. Absolutely unnecessary.

The plight is not her internal journey, it is the external pressures she has to face in order to find a way she can be herself. I, in no way, shape or form think of it as a sickness, exactly the opposite, for each individual, the self image, no matter what that is, is only natural.

plight

noun

noun: plight; plural noun: plights

a dangerous, difficult, or otherwise unfortunate situation.

Yep - you definitely demeaned Rhea. 'Unfortunate'. As if Rhea was involved in a car wreck, got cancer or some other situation you wouldn't want to be in. I'll give Rhea the name of a good Hate Crime attorney so charges can be filed against you.

(go ahead fish -- be good to your name sake and flip/flop on this one)

All I asked for were the WPA rules. It would be fine with me if the mod closed it. Johnnyt

My above post, which was posted 50 minutes before this one, clearly contradicts this. The plight or unfortunate situation is what transgendered people have to deal with from external sources,I.e. Comments like yours. I will admit to taking this personally, as this is personal to me. And for the record my stance has not changed on this. You got me on one thing, sometime your own advice can be the hardest to take. Still doesn't change the egregiousness of what you posted. Ok I'm hypocrite, what's your excuse?

You make it sound like 'transgendered' people have no choice. I won't apologize for saying that if you choose to "identify" as anything other than what you ACTUALLY and DEFINITELY are then you are the one who should accept whatever comes at you and that includes negative and OMG. "hurtful" things. Sorry, not everyone has to have the opinion that it's acceptable. If you think so then that's part of your fantasy world you're living in too. In this PC world we live in now everyone who isn't accepting of everything and everyone for all reasons is a bigot or closed minded..NOT TRUE...Screwed up country right now folks. If I hurt your feelings then deal with it like a grown up, not a child. Choices have consequences, some good and some bad...that's called real life, live it!

Like transgender, all things you listed are psychological issues. Your psychological issue should effect me.

Oh, you're saying they do wanna be like that and can help it, but Trans cannot.

Its the libs that have the stretched imagination - with their unicorns and whatnot along with little billy thinking hes suzy or julie or pam

If one side doesnt make sense why should the other have to? :)
Btw, you close minded people cant tell me what to think or feel, it deprives me of who I am and want to be.:thumbup

I really couldnt care less what anybody does, just dont try shoving it down my throat and I'll do the same.

I can not and will not say exactly what I THINK, but I THINK I can say this - in real life ( not on a moderated forum ) not everything is fluffy clouds and unicorns..... so eine people disagree on certain things..... and that's ok. What some here should realize is MAYBE sometimes what they believe is BY FAR NOT WHAT MOST BELIEVE. Now, we should all just settle this all over a set of nine ball for a G, no?

To a true transgendered person the choice isn't how they identify, the choice is whether or not to be true to that identity.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion, whatever that is. I never once told Watchez to change his opinion. Not once. It would be nice if he were more open minded, but that has nothing to do with the issue at hand.

There was a discussion taking place about rules. The discussion was not about whether or not it is or should be acceptable to be a transgendered person nor was the discussion about one person in particular. Interjecting one's opinion solely for the sake of being mean and hurtful, and that certainly was the intention, had no relevance to the conversation. His opinion was only voiced to be mean to another person, a person who was only offering her solicited opinion on subjects pertinent to the discussion. This is a public space. One should act with the decency that one would normally act in a "real" public space.

I am not saying everyone has to be accepting, you just have to have some common decency. I am not accepting of all things, however, I do not voice my opinion every chance I get with complete disregard to other people's feelings. People just assume that because they are hiding behind a keyboard they don't have to care about other people's feelings. If your offended or hurt by what I say then you are the one with the problem. What the hell kind of way is that to live life.

I did want to let this one die, but I also wanted to revisit it when I had a cooler head. Rape, murder and pedophilia are all heinous crimes that mostly all people would agree should not be tolerated in the least. Being torn between the person you know that you are and the person everyone expects you to be is far from a crime, it is natural and it can be a hard road to travel just to be happy. Why should people make it any harder just because they don't understand it or won't accept it.

There has been several different conversations going on inside this thread so I'm just going to add an article that some may find interesting about women in 3 cushion billiards. I know that there aren't very many women playing billiards world wide but wouldn't you think that the best female players in the world, who are dedicating their lives to this game, would score better than local 3 cushion short stops?

I'll continue to believe women are at a physical disadvantage when it comes to cue sports and they should be able to compete on an even playing field against other women. Furthermore, their accomplishments in the game should be celebrated in their own right without having to be measured against their male peers.
