So ladies, do the ladies prefer the later round to be races to four/first to two, but moreso how did the crowds react ???

From my perch would the final matches be even better if ya had ta win by two (like tennis) max 7 ? This drama is Great for an Audience to feel, see, hear and of course sweat the sMall stuff

well,they could be towing the company line, but Jeanette said last year,and it was reiterated this year by Ewa, that the ladies like the format,as it's very challenging and punishes mistakes.

As a spectator, it's a nail biter.

Yeah, but its always the JOB of any successful ''business model'' to increase the gate and have them ''bite'' even more. Yeah players like this, but the people at the gate....''they are your audience''....??what do THEY want?? A mindset of doing a race too One, it's what THEY ''like'' but is that thinking the ''best'' for their business model? If people are biting their nails, lets see if we can get em to chew on all ten, why the heck not??

Sound similar, the government does not yet fully represent what the People really want.

This borrows from the "Challenge of Champions" format, in use for about twenty years. Anyone who has attended or watched on TV a Challenge of Champions knows that its an exciting format that the fans enjoy.

The event was sold out Friday night, all day Saturday and all day Sunday. The crowd was very wild and loud on Sunday.

A "win by 2 games" in tennis resulted in a match that last several days a couple years ago. Televised sports, with some exceptions, are scheduled for a set amount of time. Win by two is fun for gambling, but doesn't work so well for TV.

A "win by 2" pool match (even a race to 2) could last a whole day...not very practical for television.

I'll tell ya, this am, I got to watch the last thirty minutes of the USA/Russia hockey match, WOW, sure wasn't a race to One. They went back and forth with the USA scoring first and the Russians having opportunities. When the race got to, I'm not sure, but Olympic rules state if the sudden death is tied at a certain point, then they implement a rule where each side picks their favorite player, and he goes heads up just like pool, cept there's someone Guarding the Pocket :thumbup: It was as good as it gets, I also remember last winter Olympics, I think the Swedes too pulled off a frikin' great win.

OT.........................Shootout, The excitement factor was Huge. Regular play was over, it's OT....Olympic style. you'll hear about it.
