well i hope that allison fisher is there in rock north carolina at the gateway convention center she needs to start her year off with winning this one good luck allison fisher :)

thanks

Just a wild guess here...but I don't think you need to "hope" she will be there. Aside from the fact that it's only about a 4 hour drive from her home, I don't think she misses too many WPBA events.
If you are going, you need to go to Rocky Mount, NC...If you try to find "Rock, North Carolina" on the map, you're going to get lost.

Actually, the WPBA starts up on Thursday. You can be sure that Allison, Karen and all those set on gunning them down will be there.

best of luck to Amanda Lampert as well - this will be her second appearance I believe -after winning the regional tour championships, one of many to come :)

I'll be watching Kelly Fisher, Val Finnie, Kim Shaw, Tiffany Nelson and Allison...all of our hometown ladies.
Steve

I predict this is the year when the young guns catch up with Allison and Karen. Maybe they only win half the tourneys this year, not all of them.

I agree with that. K. Fisher, Ga Young Kim, X Pan, M. Webb ( not young gun but do to break out),and I look for J. Lee to have a good year also. Allision and Karen don't have to like this year. Johnnyt

Silly tour anyway. I wish it would run up and play often, but I am discouraged with 7 tourneys a year! What the heck type of tour is that? How are any of the girls supposed to make any money at all unless you are Karen, Kelley, Allison, or Ga young? They should strike and stick the mens regional tours and other forms of money making until they straighten up their tour and get those girls some tourneys.

To answer your first question - it's better than the non-existent men's tour. To answer your second - the women who aren't making money obviously need to get better.

I agree that it would be nice to have more events, but it would be incredibly stupid and short-sighted for the women to go on strike.

Steve, I'm sorry if I'm behind the times, but didn't I read that Kelly and Val moved out of your area and are now living in Pa. some place?
Did they move back?

I haven't talked with either of them in a couple of months. I know they are involved in a new business venture, but I hadn't heard that they moved. It's certainly possible.

Ladies, and Gentlemen, Prog8r has officially gone off the air

Prog8r my friend, the WPBA is the best run american tour there is. If the women "strike", US Pro pool totally dies. Your million dollar question doesnt just include the women. How are the men supposed to make decent money? Regional tours?

Anyone know if Jasmine Ouschan is able to play all WPBA tourneys yet?
