It seems they will again use "games won percentage" as a tie breaker if 2 players in the same group have the same number of victories. In my opinion the first tie-breaker should be "head-to-head" results. If 2 players are tied, then the one that was victorious in their head-to-head match should advance.
The IPT was filled with examples where one player failed to advance, despite beating the advancing player with whom he was tied. In one case a player tied with 2 other players, and still failed to advance despite beating both of them decisively head-to-head.

I know on a practical level, there are a number of women that routinely attend these events only to find themselves getting knocked out early on a routine basis. However, a lot of these women are very dedicated AND talented. The added experience by playing round robin might help them get over the hump.
