Congrat to Hsin. Hsin just come back from Taiwan after spending a month over there. She arrived in Vancouver on Tuesday morning after a 12 hours flight and was off to NW on Wednesday morning at 7 am. She told me she did not really hit any ball for a month because she was very busy spending time with her families and friends.
Hsin had two fourth place finish last year. She is the national regional champion and the rookie of the year in 2004.
Hsin is a very good player and a very sweet person away from the table. I wish she will do well.
For those who are interested in watching her in action, you can watch her jump shots here.

Cheers,
Richard

Pam

Hi,

as one of her sponsors the only thing that I can say about Pam is ...Go for it !! She is one of the most talented young ladies I've ever seen.

Regarding her so called temper....You got to have that if you want to join the winners circle some day....besides that she is only 18 years...

Speaking for us, we are proud and glad to have her on the team !

Hi, Markus! Are y'all celebrating any Octoberfests! :D

That is cool the way you put four images in one slot! I like that.

At the Derby City Classic in Louisville, Kentucky, a few years ago, Pamela Treadway made the trek and was seen 24/7 around the venue. I had remembered seeing her at the Glass City Open in Toledo, Ohio, the year before, and I was impressed with her performance. She had a pack of railbirds surrounding her table, most of them hawking her out of curiosity, seeing this young thing knocking down a few heavy-hitters. She was the ONLY female to compete in the pro event at the Glass City Open that year, at the ripe young age of 15. If memory serves me right, she cashed, too. :D

I want to add my Pam image now! ;) Actually, I've got quite a few of them, but this one I kind of like best. The first time Pam met Keith, she was eager engage him in conversation, all related to playing pool. While the other ladies were socializing and having a blast, Pam was trying to soak in everything she could in an effort to improve her game. Keith took a liking to her because the two of them shared a few similarities relating to their childhood, and he recognized a whole lot of talent in Pamela Treadway.

This image is 15-year-old Pam and Keith at the Derby City Classic in Louisville. She was just coming into her game at that time. When I saw her win the Ladies event at the Super Billiards Expo earlier this year, I saw something in her eyes, a familiar look that I only see in other champion players. It was confidence. The girl's got game, make no mistake about it!

Hi Jennie,

I wish I had time to celebrate the Oktoberfest ....I am preparing my trip to the US. I will be in NY 30.11 till 02.12. and then move on to Washington and Rockville for the Planet Pool event (3-4 Dec) where I will meet Pam and CC again. Hope to see you there too...

All our "girls" (Carol & Pam) in the US are the best we could have hoped for, period. Regarding Pam's game, she and Kristina our 16 Year old German player (8 & 9 Ball European Champion 2005 !!!)

(Here is a picture)

have quite something in common. Which I would call a real desire to learn the game and succeed at it on championship level. Kristina just finished 5th at this years World Youth Championships in Austria on her first try !!

Best regards, and give Keith a hello from those strange Germans!!

Markus, Keith and I will be in Orlando, Florida, at the IPT King of the Hill Shootout, November 30 through December 4th. I live 15 minutes away from Rockville, too. We will miss seeing you, but one thing for sure, you'll be in good hands. The Orange Ball in Rockville is a pretty nice pool room. It is a comfortable atmosphere, and the food is pretty good, too! :)

Wow, check out those trophies! They look almost as big as Kristina!

Bravo to Eurowest Cues for supporting the players. It's tough playing professional pool in these times, and Eurowest is to be commended for helping these players AND giving back to the game/sport.

Hey Listen,

I would love to see Pam succeed in the WPBA Tour, but someone has to step up and help coach her about life stories. I wish someone had done that for me when I was 17 and a champion in the sport I was succeeding in.

Barbara
Barbara, if something I was told is true, Pam is currently learning some "life stories" and she will be doing some growing up quite soon.

Anna Kostanian 8 Kim Shaw 9

Anna Kostanian lost a great match last night to Kim Shaw 8-9. I think Anna and Kim missed 2 balls each the entire match. I watched Pam Treadway play a couple of years ago and I got the chance to see Pam Treadway play last night for the second time. For being 18 years old she plays well even though I do not think she was playing her best last night. I do think she is going to be a fine player. I do not think she plays on the same level as Anna Kostanian. I really wish some of you on the east coast could get the chance to see this girl play. Anna is playing the best pool that she has ever played; she is real focused. There is another young girl that plays on the West Coast, Mary Rakin, that plays well too but I do not think any girl under 20 in the U.S. can beat Anna right now.

One day when she got beat, her opponent made what seemed to Jean as a lucky shot, and when Jean told her she thought it was a lucky shot, the organization wanted to impose fines and punish Jean for the comment.

JAM
The opponent was a christian ( Robin Dodson) and as I was told that Jean used F word. The pro association imposed a fine of $250.Jean refused to pay and as a result she was not allowed to play.

Match-ups

I see where Pam got beat her first match. Maybe she can
fight her way throgh the 1 loss side. I also see that
Jennifer Baretta lost a hill-to-hill match her first one, those
are really tough ... The match between Julie Kelly and
Vivian should be a good one ..

And if I learned ANYTHING from my experience...it will be hard to lean over the table in a few months...let alone racking the balls!!!! I don't see how you beer gut guys do it! LOL! Congrats to Pam.

I thought she was banned for saying she was going to drill her opponent's ovaries in? I always found that funny.

Jean purportedly told Robin to "beat me with talent, not with luck!" and refused to play on. I'm sure the "F" word was used.
