I think that's Manila time, 11:30 (Nov.3) in Manila is 23:30 (Nov. 2) in the
East Coast.

For those of you who wants to sweat it out, you can watch the games "live"
via TVU or Sopcast. It will be 60 hours of live coverage and there will be
replays too, for those who will miss the live action. It will on channel 10006
for TVU and channel 10912 for Sopcast.

it seems that depending on location, some people receive better quality with TVU and others with Sopcast

my advice is to try both

I really hope people support these broadcasts, this is the absolute pinnacle of pool coverage, free and live to anyone on the planet, doesn't get any better

plus ya'll Americans have a certain player you may wanna keep an eye on ;)

I think the channel will be ESPN Asia, only available on Sopcast right now :D

How do I calculate the times for Central Daylight and/or Standard?

Lol

I had already done this in the WPC subforum, and I have a zip file you can download, and bring up in Excel. I also have a link to the World Clock.
I also have a link to Star Sports where you get list the schedule yourself if so desired.

As of now in Daylight Saving Time, Manila is 11 hours ahead of Central Saving Time.

For US residents;

I think the time switch will happen earlier next month, this coming Saturday midnight.

TVU & Sopcast

I can't seem to get either to work for me.

Sopcast say it can't connect to Sop

and TVU is just a black screen and then at some point says, "player initialized failed. Check network connections"

Any suggestions?

Thanks Smashmouth & Gopi-1

This stuff just doesn't get any better than this.

GG11, try turn off your firewall & other anti-virus stuff. It didn't work for at first, but then I turned off other security stuff. Boomed! Wu & Alcano were playing in the semi-final. Good luck!

DC

Yep. Every time you want to watch pool, just go to this link and enter Philippines as the country, billiards in the 'sports' field, choose the date and then click on 'view schedules'. This will give you a schedule of what is available for viewing. I believe the ESPN channel is available in SOPCAST but not sure about TVU. This is a good time to test if your SOPCAST is working so you will not have a problem starting tomorrow night, US eastern time.

http://www.espnstar.com/tvtimes/tvtimes_index.jsp

You can start viewing other pool tournaments. I saw the 2007 Intl Challenge of Champions listed.
