thanks for the link but it did not work for me. It was trying to 'connect to the media' for a couple of minutes, then I just see 'ready' but it did not connect me to ESPN. Are you able to view it live from your end?

He's right. There's not much drama (which is why we watch sport, isn't it?) if someone doesn't get to shoot. He was specifically talking about the break and how easy the corner ball goes.

In other individual sports, both players play (see golf, tennis, racing, track, etc.). Have you ever seen a golfer lose without ever hitting a ball? No, but for some reason, we allow that to happen in pool. The solution is simple - it's not rack position or break box or balls past the side; just make it alternate breaks. Both players then get a chance to defend the break.
