Wrapless josswest any info

Nice cue Ronnie.It's not worth very much though.Send it to me and I'll evaluate it for you :grin: Stroud makes a good player.Good luck with it.

Great cue I have never seen a wrapless joss west before...... Looks like ya might have a nice player there......

Im a Josswest fan and have several of the older Josswest cues.

This is the first one I have seen.

What does that mean? Probably pretty rare.

Does it mean that it affects value, I don't think much if any.

If it was a one of kind and high end, yep probably.

We have an old wrapless JW Titlist conversion and a wrapless sneaky pete style JW, both unmarked. Yours is indeed a rare cue, Ronnie.
 
Thank u all for the info and help it is much appreciated. Now that I got the specs I measured it out it is 59" long as well not including tip and rubber bumper. Weren't most of his older cues around 57"

I have had 57" and 58".

I would guess most are 58". I am speaking of the JW with the sideways W. cues which are the only ones I have had. I have had between 10-15 of them. Of any cue I have ever owned, those old JW cues have had the most stuff done on shafts as any cue I have seen. Bill made a lot of them 13.25 or larger, and so you think they would have a nice 13mm shaft on most of them. I have seen them down to 10mm and up to 14mm. They were "whiddled down, maybe turned, sanded, and I don't know what else". Maybe years ago, it was more common, but for today's cuemakers, and cues folks just don't do that as much. I knew of one JW that had its own herd of shafts (12.0, 12.5. 13.0, 13.5, and 14mm). The owner said he wanted to try all of them to see which one he liked best....LOL.

The 57" were hoppe style cues. I preferred them, but strangely enough several folks didn't want it because of the length. I felt it would make it more desirable, but it appeared it didn't.
