Wrapless Titleist Conversion - True Hoppe - Mike Webb

I just cant believe this is still here
I think Mike only made like 10 or less of this conversions

Thanks for the info. I am really shocked that the Titleist fans haven't jumped all over this one, especially at this price
 
It appears to be a nice cue but it needs a leather wrap and an extra shaft. But that's the way it is so it a no go. Good luck with the sale and a bump for u.

No...I don't like "titleist conversions" I LOVE Titlist conversions! So, let me see if I have this correct...stainless joint, no wrap, one shaft, and used with dings....will you take $650? That's about $100 more than Blue Book Value ($475 + 75 for ivory ferrule) for a Mike Webb cue! BTW, the extra $100 is for the nice ring work!

Ok...since I do love the Titlist cues/conversions...how about a even trade for a nice DZ Hoppe-style cue with six veneers, leather wrap, and a Dominiak low-deflection shaft. I'll even throw in the joint protectors! It too has one ding on butt.

LOL @ the jerkoffs that are downing this cue for having no wrap... if you think that detracts from the value, you're sorely mistaken. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to find a blank that you can actually use without needing to cut a handle or add another piece of wood to? Damn near impossible....

Nice cue. I will say that for that price it should have two shafts, but should sell for $1100ish...

No need to start name-calling! No one is downing the cue for NOT having a wrap...but a leather/exotic wrap would certainly ADD to it's value!

Just waned to tell all you guys that only a couple of cue makers that will attempt building a cue like this............
Mike is one of them as you can see by my horrible pictures and it is more the difficult to find a blank good enough to do this
so all that sued I think a leather wrap would only take away from this cue because of the difficulties of building a cue like this

Excuse me, but this is a "conversion" and NOT a "restoration" which by it's very nature means the blank is cut in a way to move the points up closer to where the joint will be and also allow for the addition of a Hoppe ring. Then it is turned down to size. The original 1-piece Titlist does NOT have the Hoppe ring. That came later, when it was added to the 2-piece Hoppe Professional...which IS leather wrapped. JMHO but I believe the leather wrap enhances the beauty of the cue and also the price. Herman Rambow thought so too...as did George Balabushka , Frank Paradise, Eugene Balner, Gus Szamboti, Paul Drexler, and numerous other cue makers over the years.
Now if any of those cuemakers were selling a unwrapped conversion, the price would be warranted. Mike Webb is NOT in their league yet!
I actually wonder how much he sold that cue to Tank for...since he himself said in another thread that Tank was WAY overpricing the cue!
