WTB: Have a cue to do and the fellow wants shafts with 20+ gpi. Does any one have 2 they are willing to sell. Can be squares/rounds/tapers whatever.

Growth Rings

I had found some good reading on growth rings one time. Some claim dense growth rings can be a sign of an unhealthy tree. They claim tight rings are a sign of slow/unhealthy growth. Farther spaced rings they say show a healthier growing tree. Just thought it was interesting since everyone is gpi crazy ;-)

lol.... lucky u. These are not something I would normal look for but the customer wants them. He currently plays with a shaft that is about 23gpi, dark honey colored. Don't think I will be calling CC quite yet.
 
If You haven't already, Like Mr Hoppe mentioned, I would suggest asking Chris. I've bought them from Him before when in a pinch in the past. Sometimes He has shafts like that in limited numbers, and will help out. Cost You a little more then sourcing, and turning them from scratch, but he's honest on grading, and is still fair on price considering what they are, some of the work has been done, and considering what You can get per shaft, It's well worth It IMO. I've never had a shaft that I got from him move on me either. I actually just picked up a couple of purple heart shafts from him. I was out, and have a customer that wants me to build him a break shaft like I made for My personal break stick. They are already at around 16mm, so I should be able to bring them to size a lot quicker then I would have otherwise.
