As the titel says: I am looking for a 60" cue:

-ideally 30" shaft and 30" butt
-ideally very stiff/hard hit
-ideally between 19 - 19.5 oz

I prefer a balance point closer to the front (sorry for my poor english :o)

Let me know what is out there please.

(If somebody is interested I have a Jimmy Rempe by Meucci JR-5 (First Edition) I might be willing to trade.)

Edit: My budget is up to a 1000 USD only. (Thanks "thefonz" for reminding me!)

showcase

I have a 63" Showcase sneaky pete with two shafts one shaft has a phonelic ferrule and tip. 2 piece butt, which is good for jumping or fitting in tight spaces. PM if interested.

I would like to see some 60" cues myself.

Search function here sucks, because you can't search for 60 by itself. We need to get people to put the word SIXTY in their posts regarding these cues.

I own one but it's not for sale... but I'll gladly share with you what it is... and then you can have one made for yourself if you like.

I started with a brand new 60" (30/30) Bob Frey ebony/hard maple standard 4-point sneaky pete. It came with a standard Bob Frey shaft. I had Bob turn the shaft down to 12.6 mm in diameter at the ferrule as I prefer a thinner pro taper shaft. The hit was solid but not stiff. I gave Bob a target of 19.25 oz. for the weight of the finished cue. Cost was ~$400.

Next, I had Sheldon Lebow (posts as Sheldon here) make me a 30" Timeless Timber shaft for my Bob Frey butt. I sent him the butt so that he could perfectly match the new shaft to the butt. I had Sheldon turn the shaft down to 12.6 mm at the ferrule. The hit was VERY stiff. As a result, I had my local cue maker turn down the shaft even farther... down to 12.4 mm. The shaft cost ~$225.

And the tip that I have on it right now is a Talisman Pro medium... but it inexplicably hardened up in long term storage and plays like a Hard. My cue maker told me while installing it that it would play like a Hard, based on how long it took him to shape the tip on his lathe using a brand new razor blade. It cut very slowly.

The cue plays beautifully... with a very stiff hit yet with a smaller diameter pro taper shaft. The shaft wood is superb... so tight... so clean... yet dark. Total cost was ~$650, well within your $1000 budget.

Good luck with your decision. :thumbup2:

I have a 60" cue with 8 all high ivory points into gaboon ebony. It hits very hard. I don't think I can ship it to Germany because of the ivory and I would need way more that $1000 USD for it.

Thanks everyone for their opinions! Please continue to share your offers / ideas.

I do like the Prewitt but it seems not to be in my price range, unfortunately.

Had I seen the Carmeli earlier I probably would have jumped onto it... Shame I missed that opportunity.

Many thanks and I am looking forward to further offers.
