WTB: A wood shaft that fits a cue-tec pin.

I have a cuetec just sitting collecting dust. I know it's not worth much, but I would like to give it to a friend as a gift and I can't give him a fiber-glass shaft in good conscience.

If anyone has a straight wood shaft that fits a cue-tec pin, please let me know. Ideally, it would also be in decent condition with a tip and ferule that doesn't look abused.

cutec pin

The only shaft of wood I have seen for the cuetec pin is cuetec and ob shafts.

Not correct...the Cuetec pin is their own....its a .348 x 14. KJ or Ryan here may be able to help. If not...its quite easy to replace the pin then shafts of your choice are no problem.;)

There's a cuemaker in the ask a cuemaker section that uses that pin, and im sure he can make you whatever you need. Esoteric cues is his cue name I believe.

Be aware that cuetecs joint diameter is like .79" so make sure the shaft you buy matches or you will have some serious overhang

cuetec makes an all wood shaft

I think there is a thunderbolt variation but I am sure there are shafts available through the larger diistributors

The r360 is wood exterior and is sold for $135 Cheap for a quality cue shaft used by Mr Shane Van,

hope this helps

I found one, but it cost double the worth of the cue I have new. Doesn't seem worth it, when for 150, I can give him a brand new, and much better, cue. I'm looking for some shaft that's playable, maybe tapped for a cue tec pin, or just something that works for relatively cheap. It's a gift for my ex roommate who busted a Meucci original I lent him so I'm not looking to get him anything that nice. Just something he can play with, and a shaft he can use to break or use at shitty bars where people expect to share your cue.

Sounds like the original shaft is best for this guy:thumbup:

There is nothing wrong with an original replacement shaft by CueTec. Less than $55. Perfect for bars.
I always use my CueTec in a crowded room. Plays well and bullet proof.
