Looking for a nice, original one piece Brunswick butterfly cue. Possibly would be interested in a conversation if the price is right. Show me what you have! Call or text pics
570-590-0784 Thanks, Mike

If you can find an original Brunswick Titlist butterfly it certainly would be a conversation piece.

I assume you want a veneered Brunswick butterfly? Or do you want a Titlist?

.

You are correct in your assumption, a veneered Butterfly is what I’m looking for. Wasn’t sure if they were actually referred to as a Titlist Butterfly or not.

Butterflies are actually called a vignaux splice.....4pt splice is a Berger

That’s the “Latin” nomenclature

Thanks, Trentfromtoledo has dibs on the 1950 TruSkill. Think he would be mad at me if I didn't think of him first.

There is a real nice butterfly cue on Billiardbillls.com. It's not a Brunswick but still very nice. It the last one listed. It is made by Hills, and was reduced from $899 to $549. Take a look.

The Tru-Skil is a snooker cue, not a pool cue, and it was made by Brunswick of Canada.

I have one.

Tru-Skill

While doing research on the Tru-Skill cue I only found one reference in the Brunswick History Search area of their web-site. A 1950 issue of The Cue. I failed to notice on the front page it listed Brunswick in Canada. It makes sense that it is a cue made for Snooker because of the length, but does not say so in the ad. That's why I thought it was a pool cue. Anyway if you would like to see the ad just go to the Brunswick Billiards History search area and type in Tru-Skill. Just curious what the specs of your Tru-Skill are Chopdoc. Thanks for the additional info on the cue.

Interesting to note is the spelling on my cue. My cue is stamped. On the butt it says Brusnwick on one side and True-Skil on the other (one "L"). I have no idea what the significance of that stamp might be. Early cue? Late cue? Other? There is no evidence mine ever had the decal on it.

Specs?

I don't remember and it is put away. I looked in my file and don't see the specs, probably mis-filed.

The tip is about 10-11mm.

It isn't the length that makes a snooker cue, they are about the same length as a pool cue typically. It's the tip diameter and taper. Also they are usually ash while these cues are maple.
