I am looking for either a Willie Hoppe or Titlist conversion cue.
Would like to keep it under $1200.00
A few inlays would be nice, but not mandatory.
NO Wrapless cues....
Let me see what you have and what is out there.
Thanks.....
Ken

Why no wrapless

just curious.

Why no wrapless cues?

You could always have a wrap put on it & you would know for sure that you were getting an unmolested classic conversion.

Slim

This is true, but that is just another added expense to recut the cue for the wrap
and then wrap it as well, especially if it was to be done in leather.
Everyone has specific tastes in cues. Mine happens to be I like cues with wraps,
while others will only play with a wrapless.

I am actually quite pleased that you would not buy a wrapless cue and add a wrap to it. There are few titlists that can actually be wrapless and thus would really not be beneficial, in my opinion, to cut a wrap groove into it!

I too am surprised that there haven't been really any cues posted for you though. Good luck to you!

Ken,
Have you seen the Klein that Tank has for sale? It plays awesome and I am sure if you speak with Tank he might be able to work out a deal with you. It is not too far off your budget. Give or take, you know what I mean ;)?

JohnPT has a Brunswick Balke Collender butterfly conversion by Andy Gilbert w/ leather wrap that is real nice for $1000. His description doesn't make clear if it was maintained as a full splice or not...
Lee Pepper, LP Custom Cues, converted a Titlist for me & did a real nice job. His lead time is only 3 to 4 months. It wasn't the most pristine blank I've ever seen, but the price was great, the work was great, he met my spec's spot on, and the thing hits wonderfully. Old wood...

barefoot - pm sent for info about the Jerry R Titlist. One way or another, I wouldn't be interested in making any move until Ken has his say about it. This is his thread...

PMs replied to ... Have yet to hear from Ken but others have expressed interest as well.. Thanx to all

I have a JerryR that's been for sale a while.

Jerry Rauenzahn Titlist conversion. A classy cue converted by a great cue maker. I've had this cue for over 4 years, (purchased in 2005). It's only seen about 10 hours play by me, and the shafts are in good shape.

This cue has 4 pretty damn even points that appear Rosewood - which is not a common find on the titlists. I'm not a wood expert, but I can provide as many pics as needed for someone to confirm the wood ;)

-stainless steel joint
-leather wrap
-2 shafts.
-butt weighs 16.0 oz.
-original Rauenzahn shaft weighs 4.1 oz, and the
-second Greg Kucharski shaft weighs 4.5 oz.

Asking price is $1100, which includes shipping and insurance to the lower 48 states. Very limited interest in up-trades or partial trades.

PM offers or inquiries.

Pics are compressed, but I can provide the high quality ones via email. Also, I can provide more recent picutres on request. Yeah, yeah, I took these when I got the cue ages ago ;)

Oh yeah, I also have 2 full length titlists for conversion. I turned one on my lathe and it appears to be purple heart. I haven't touched the other one.

Both appear to have proper diameters for conversion.

These are REALLY hard to come by now, and I really haven't contemplated selling them. But for the right price, I suppose I would.

Ken:

I have a Titlist conversion that I am working on right now. Right now it doesnt have any inlays in it. I dont have a set price as of yet on this cue. I am sure we can work something out that would be in your range.
Give me a call and lets see what we can work out.

Thanks!
