WTB: Custom inlay joint protectors

Not sure, he said that he closed the shop down three weeks ago.

Anyone have another suggestion for JP's?

Seal the end grain?

You might end up paying more for the JP's then you did the cue! The importance of Jp's is to seal the end grain. The sooner you get a set...the better!

I never knew that? I thought they were to protect the PIN and keep from nicking the collars of the shafts! I know that ALTONS caps shure make it look NICE alot More Better! anyway if you can't get them from Alton try Steve Kornele you will have to google that he's not a member here. www.kornelepoolcues.com here you go! Ron

Thanks again for the helpful tips, I have contacted both these guys. Jim B. cannot make them. Still waiting for a reply from Steve K.

WOW learn something every day!

WELL WELL I really messed this up?

Ok, I contacted Bob Dzuricky (dzcues.com) about making the JP design that I wanted for my cue. He was the only person who was willing and capable of completing the project. All of the other folks listed in this thread, most of whom are known for making custom JP's, all had some reason why they couldn't do it. Some valid and some not. See first post for pic.....

These JP's that Bob made for me are so nice, that I thought I'd give him one more bump to the top.

Nice? Nice?

Nice is too small a word to describe those JP's. I don't have the vocabulary to describe how cool they are. They are certainly worthy of the cue they protect.

Mighty fine.

Edit: Holy Sh!t

you made the right decision, Bob is great and to the point, just underrated which i dont think he cares...those who deal with him know the kind of guy he is and the impeccable work he does...great cues too, congrats.

Someone was asking about custom JP's recently, so I'm giving Bob another bump to the top.... Happy New Year!

Everytime I look at these joint protectors, I'm very pleased. I just have to keep bumping this once in a while for the great job Bob did for me.
