Looking for a Diamond ball cleaning machine/ polisher in good condition. Single or double is fine. Let me know what ya got. Thanks!

Why? the new balstar is the nuts. Its super quiet and is more gentle than the first balstar. The diamond looks like the homemade ones imo.

I've owned both and the Diamond polisher makes the ballstar look like a toy. The only thing I liked better about the ball star is it fits in a milkcrate.

Tableman, call Diamond, you might get a discount if your a table mechanic. Otherwise there $500 shipping included. I've had mine for over one year now. Great product.

Whatever you do "Double" is the only way to go! I own both. On the Double: Use one platter for cleaning application and the other for polishing. Balls are done fast! Its the only thing in the planet that is capable of that... The next best thing is 15 sets of hands as they do in 3rd world countries...

As for looks, I put a dozen coats of Lacquer and polished it to high gloss piano finish. It looks better than my $4000 home theater sub :)

You could just build the polisher yourself. That's what I did and spent less than $30. Although it's not as pretty as the two mentioned here in this thread it certainly cleans and polishes the balls just as good.

Let me know if you want the video where I got the idea from. Trust me you will save a ton of money for doing the same thing as both machines mentioned.

I'm interested in that.

For those of you that want to go the cheap route, search pool ball polisher on Youtube and you will get many different homemade polishers.

Thanks guys for all the replies. Would love to find a double Diamond as mentioned and use one side for cleaner and the other for polish. Could have bought a steal on one from diamond at vegas show one year. Need my azz kicked for not buying it! You know that hindsight thing. Anyway, been a mechanic almost 20 years now, may check with Diamond and see what they offer. Used ones are pretty hard to find. Thus, they are evidently great machines and people hang onto them. What the heck, just for S&G I will take a look at the youtube ones too

Tableman, don't make the mistake I did by thinking the single platter would suffice - it does. But when I seen Glen "RKC" use the double as I mentioned above - I was done! I sprung for the double (ouch). Luckily, found one here in Vegas that they used at the BCA in Riviera last May. Would love to sell you my single but as I said you will end up buyin the double later on.

It's just so efficient when it comes to cleaning and polishing. Unlike the single, at one point after doing the the first set of 8 balls the next set would end up with the cleaning solvent, thus making it difficult to polish the rest. Hence, the double platter solution "The only way to go!"

Yeah, I'm sold on the "double" idea but just curious, how much for your single? Who knows, maybe I'll run across another single sometime to go with it.

Here is the one I built. I actually just just about everything needed to make it so I only spent less than $10. I run 8 balls at a time for a total of 5 minutes. At 2.5 miutes I kinda tilt the bucket from left to right a few times and then spray some more turtle way in there. After the 5 minute cycle I just simply wipe each ball off with a microfiber towel and they come out looking BRAND NEW every time. Simple, cheap and very effective.

your talking about the old balstar, which sucks. THe new one wont fit in a milk crate. I just got a new on and it is SO much better than the old model. So quite and gentle on the balls.
