Hello,
Well, I had this crazy idea of starting my own pool hall. I will start small and it will be a mix of a coffee room/pool room. Very cozy and friendly environment.
I am looking for the best set and price I can find of four 9 foot tables with lights and chairs if all possible.
I would love to have Diamonds but they are way out of my budget right now.

Hi there,
Already talked to Jay and he is on the top of my list. I was just wondering what else is out there.

Wish you were closer. I've got 9' Diamond Professional sets $2500 each.

Table, full-sized light, spectator bench, balls and rack included. It'd cost a ton to ship them though.

rent a u haul and drive them back, or hire some one off craigslist rideshare that is looking for a ride where every you get them to drive them back for you. just a thought.

I'd be surprised if you can find a better deal than the ones Jay has if you want to get 4 matching commercial-style tables in good shape.

However you could also try contacting Vicki H. from Gary's in Victorville CA, they often listing tables for sale here. (I bought mine from them a few years ago.) What I liked about it was that the rails had already been setup to Pro standards by Steve (TableMechanic) rather than just being the sloppy, irregular pockets and rails most used Gold Crowns have.

Other than that if you have a lot of time on your hands you can trawl through Craigs List and Ebay every day looking for the occasional Gold Crown and Diamond listing. (It takes a lot of work as often the listings are not accurate, especially for table size.) However if they have not been well maintained or setup in the first place you will need to pay to have this done when you install them, so make sure you understand the costs involved before you assume you have found a bargain.

BTW I like your idea of a small, intimate club-style room. I used to hang out in a place like this in London which had 3 bar tables in a basement down off the Finchley Road.

i have a friend that works for valley gaming (stockton/sacramento) they sell tables and what not. if you want i'll find out if they give a discount for buying more than 1 table and see what kind of price they'd offer

Couple of things...

Not sure how things go on the West Coast, but a pool hall/coffee shop sounds like failure waiting to happen. Not wishing you bad luck, I've just never seen these two groups of people as overlapping. Then again, it IS Cali. Good luck on this, Tony! I am thinking about doing the same (without the coffee :) ).

Next, I've got access to DOZENS of GC2's & 3's for sale. Cheap! Prolly less than anyone anywhere. I am also trying to sell my own personal table, but that is not part of the other two groups of tables for sale. But, as mentioned in other posts, I am nowhere close (Chicago).

Lastly, Club Billiards/Josh, I will be contacting you soon for my new personal table.
