WTB 3/8"-12 thread joint protectors. I need one shaft but will buy a complete set if necessary (butt and 3 shafts). Cue is an Ernie Martinez. PM me if you have any. Can also email me at Rrlbetts@aol.com.

Jim Baxter is the guy to talk to. He is a member here on AZB
but if you search for his name and see j/p in a posting, that
will give you an example of his work. He is very professional and
does absolutely beautiful work! good luck but with Mr. Baxter, you
won't need luck! Ryan

If it's for an Ernie Martinez then you'd have to skip Jim Baxter cos he doesn't have the weird pin that Ernie uses. I already checked with Jim on this.

Your best bet would be to contact Ernie himself, he'd hook you up with a set. And yes he does make JPs.

FYI the pins not really hard to fit, just a straight forward 3/8 -12 thread as far as JPs are concerned.

If you're looking for the plastic basic ones you can get them from j & j cues and cases online. I have a set and they fit great but they aren't as nice as what you would get from Ernie if you wanted a matching set.

From what I remember reading on his website Alton, his name on here is CUECAPS can also do them for you and he does some beautiful stuff in case you haven't seen his work.

Peace...Kevin

I beg to disagree , pins are not a standard item . 3/8 x 16 and 3/8 x 24 are standard pins available . To get a 3/8 x 12 is a custom order . When you get the custom pins , then you need a custom tap . When I get maybe 2 call for this per year , It's best to go to the cue maker . He has a reason for useing a Basterd thread . He dont want anyone else to work on his stuff . Sorry , Jim

If you can't find what you want on J&J just call Ernie he has Delrin caps ready to be shipped. If you want custom then you gotta wait.
