You should check out RAT cues. He sells them out of the Muellers website here. They are custom cues, not production cues, and in your price range. I saw his work at SBE and it's clean and really nice.

RT Customs Cue

I have this RT Customs Cue willing to let go for 350.00

I absolutely agree with this statement! Ryan is a great guy who builds an exceptional cue no matter what cost. You get a lot of cue for the money.

Good Luck,

PJ Cue

Hi, I have a nice Fisher that I bought from Highlanduh on this site about 2 years ago. Here's the link to his post:
http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=128151
With full disclosure in mind:
one of the shafts is closer to 12.1mm - not 13,
the 13 mm shaft has a slight taper roll,
there's a very small chip at the edge of the butt joint.

It's really a nice hitting cue, but I bought a similar Jack Madden cue in Cocobolo last year and haven't played with this one much.

I'm looking for $350 shipped/insured. At that price, you could have Bryan make another shaft to your specs and keep the total cost under $500.

Happy Hunting (it's always fun buying something on this site),
Harry
