WTB: Playing cue...budget-conscious!!!

I'm aiming to stay around the $350-ish mark. Decent production cues and low-end customs are equally interesting at this point. I need it to be straight and sound...and all else is just gravy.
Mark,

How about my Josey with 2 shafts. I had it sold, but the deal fell through. It has a wrap, 2 shafts, and plays great. I'll take $350 shipped.

Here's the link: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=36199

Let me know.

Mike

Oops....we were typing at the same time. Good luck with the Schon. Hopefully someone else will see this that is in the market for a Josey.

I don't have a Schon ... well, I don't have a Schon for $350 price range :D .. but I do have Mike Wheeler for $350. It's in Mint condition. Simple 4 pointer (bloodwood or purpleheart), straight grain maple forarm, black linen wrap.

Friday night bumpage...

Nice looking cue Jazz...but now I'm stuck on getting a lower end Schon.

Of course....I can add a little more money in there, for the right one. Not much...but a little.

My wife even chimed in and says she likes a few of the Schons out there. I think she's starting to feel guilty that I lost yet ANOTHER cue to the nesting cause.....:)

BUMP BUMP BUMP for a guy who NEEDS a Schon cue!!! :)

All PMs responded to.

LAST BUMP for a SCHON cue before I pull the trigger on one!!!

Have a good night, ya'll.

Mark,

Buy yourself a Predator Sneaky w/ a Moori tip. They're in your price range and play great. I use the new 8 point Sneaky myself (and I'd say I play o.k.).

Got your phone message. Glad all is well! This is my advice. BECAUSE, as much as I like Schons....I would still say, buy a Pred shaft for it, but instead spend less, and just buy the Sneakey. Good luck. This is just my two cents.

Matt,

Sent you a PM. Need your advice on this...since you're a Schon-nut of sorts.

Chris,

Thanks much for the heads up on the thread. I wound up buying a really nice STL2 from Axejunkie last night.

On that note.....Axejunkie (Ben) is a really great guy to deal with. I dropped him a "test drive" deposit on the cue, and he came out to one of my poolrooms to show the cue to me. He let me knock around a bit with it, just so I knew what I was getting into. Upon the agreement that I would buy the cue, we played a dozen games or so afterwards.....then he walked out with me still owing him half of the funds....just trusting that I would pay up when I got back home.

SUPER nice guy...and can walk a rail NOT TO BE BELIEVED!!! I'm talking nearly flat faced (object ball on the rail, cueball almost in perfect line and center table)...and he'll walk it down to the corner. DROVE ME NUTS!! :)

All things being equal, I'm pretty happy. It hits pretty nice...just gotta get used to it!! :)

I'm sending you a PM about a possible extra shaft, Chris. Keep an eye out.

Mark

Mark.. i just got your pm.. forum has been down for just about all day... anyways.. i will respond to it now.. talk to you soon..chris

Glad to hear you're happy Mark. Thanks for the compliments on my shooting too.

Mark is a great guy to deal with and his passion for cues is infectious. He's one of the great people who frequent the board here and don't hesitate to deal with him.
