The first big question for your friend would be Does he want a production Cue or a Sneaky Pete or Plain Jane custom. That is about his limit at that price. My vote would be for the later. They are many reputable sellers here on AZ that can surely hook you up with them. Good luck in your search.

I've got a 4-point Joss that I'd sell for $210 shipped. It's really a nice playing cue, I just don't need it. Here's the info from an ad I placed a few months ago

~13 mm shaft w/Talisman Medium Tip
Butt: 15 3/8 oz
Shaft: 3 3/4 oz

Cue has received moderate play, but is in very good condition. No dings, scratches, dents, etc...that I can see on the butt. Shaft is also in good shape, with just a few very minor little dings from normal play.

IMO this is a great deal... Mcdermott all ways play good and J&J is the best bang for your buck with a case too.
