Does anybody know where can I get a couple of really exraordinary pieces of quilted maple?
 
to get the really good stuff 4A+/5A you almost need to buy a guitar sized board for about $400.occasionally Gilmer or some other guys will have some 4A/5A pieces in cue size,but they get gobbled up fast.
 
Are you looking for soft or hard maple? Quilt in hard maple is quite rare and the figure is usually not as pronounced as in soft (big leaf) maple.

I have some quilted maple but it is soft big leaf maple give me a call if you want some.
